I'd like some advise on what videos to do.

This is all in preparation for my wedding next May. I don't need to lose any weight, but I want to lose some of the fat that is covering my muscles. This may have more to do with food than exercise videos, but I do mostly weight lifting tapes and I am wondering if I should do more cardio tapes instead? Lately I have been doing:
Day 1 upper body lifting from Body Max
Day 2 Power Circuit section from Body Max
Day 3 Cardio from a CTX tape
Day 4 (if I have time in the week)MIC - hi/lo
I'm feeling a little lost as to where to take the next step so I'd like to get your opinions. Thanks.

A simple way to start to kick it up would be to do Power Hour once a week. Keep at the cardio 2-3 days.

You have almost the whole year so you will want some variety. Just don't get fitted for your dress until March or April!

What other videos do you have besides CTX, MIC,Body Max?

You should do at least one 2-week Slow and Heavy rotation, around Christmas time when you have some time off. Right before the wedding I'd say do Power Hour twice a week or alternate it with ME (do each one once during the week).

That's what I am doing to prepare for a vacation where I'll be seeing family I haven't seen for years. I want to look good and feel strong.

Congratulations on your pending nuptuals!

I agree with Connie, that you will want to consider increasing your strength training. If you are just looking to burn fat but not lose weight, that's going to be a little hard. Weight loss almost always accompanies fat loss.

You are right in that it does have more to do with food than exercise. Body fat loss is 80% diet, 20% exercise. Some things you may want to consider in your quest for less body fat is to read some books on nutrition. I am currently reading the South Beach Diet. It is very well written by a cardiologist out of Miami. The book focuses on weight loss for obese people but has given me GREAT insight into the nutritional information we have received from the American Heart Association. It really is kind of scary. He has confirmed some things for me that I suspected. Your library will probably have a copy on hand.

As a "warning" it is about low carbing. HOWEVER it is NOTHING like the Atkins Diet, except in the induction period. He does not advocate eating as much bacon as you want. He says if you want bacon, eat canadian bacon because it is lower in fat than regular bacon. He does advocate a lower fat diet but not "low fat."

Everything this guy is saying in his book has actually been "hinted" at in a lot of recent health reports I've seen on TV--people with larger stomachs have more tendency for heart attacks, diabetes, etc. Also, that the so-called complex carbs, bread, pasta & white rice, are the culprits in stomach fat.

This is just one of many books out there. Another that has been suggested to me are the Schwarzbein Principle.

Good luck. Keep us posted on what you do & your results.

As far as videos go, I have S&H, PS, Intensity series, MIC, MIS, PH, Imax. I think I am forgetting a few, but that covers most of them. I did MIS last night and I found it harder than I thought it use to be. I always thought the leg section was easier on MIS than PH, but not last night. And my pecs are pretty sore today - but a happy sore.
