Merry Christmas Everyone. Is everyone tired of eating and talking to in-laws yet?:)
I was very spoiled yesterday.I opened up a box (that was a check book box) and at the bottom of the box he had a pitcure of a trendmill taped to it! I have wanted one for a long time but would never buy it myself.
I haven't tried it out yet but I plan on doing so today. Its not one of the REALLY good ones but it was still expensive and it will be great for what I want to do with it.I don't think I will use it on days when I can run outside but it will be great for the days when I want a little run or its to stormy out.I can also make up some great circuit workouts with it. I am so excited...
Anyway, just had to share with my cathe friends.Chatting to you soon..

That is awesome! My sister has a really nice one too, and she absolutely loves it. She finally started using it about 6 months ago after having it for almost three years!! (It was given to her by her wealthy mother in law who never used it either) She never ever has worked out in her life, but after the second baby....I will say that she looks terrific and completely enjoys it, just like you said, on days when she can't get outside to walk, or really early before going to work. My neice will even hop on and walk on its slow setting which is too cute! Lately she has turned it away from the window and towards the television, for a change, and says time just flies by while she watches Oprah:)

Lori-
What a great gift!! Lucky you!!

I've done my stints with stairmasters, nordictraks, and all the other machines, but I always come back to the treadmill. It's the one machine that I never tire of.

We don't do Christmas or Hanukah here, as we don't have any kids and we're not particularly religious. But I LOVE Christmas this year because it means I have 4 days off in a row from work to workout all I want, and that is the greatest gift of all for me!! I wish Christmas could be on a Thursday every year! I'm having a great time here!! :7

Have a great time with your new toy!

I just informed my DB that the next time he sold a car he would be buying me either a VERY good treadmill or a VERY good elliptical trainer. Not sure where in the heck we'd put it, but I know that I won't be able to run much with worry wart king taking me to the big city. Even in this tiny town, my mom and my DB arm me with a knife, pepper spray, a cell phone, and extra keys in my shoe. It is NOT cool.

My mom is the biggest worrier in the world, but even she wouldn't mind if I went running alone too much. She let me do it, anyway. Then DB comes along.... and he is the same way... only worse. So they feed off of eachother's fears and worries and the next thing I know, they are trying to confine me to my block to run!!! So, I figure a treadmill might alleviate a teeeeeeeny bit of my antsiness.

I hope you get good use out of it!!! I just finished reading an article in the latest Runner's World that incorporating treadmill work with your normal running routine regularly is a very healthy thing to do ... mentally and physically.

Merry Christmas :D

Yeah,I don't think it will go to waste.I think it is different when you already workout.People who get exercise equipment b/c they want to start working out don't normally suceed.(my hubby is a good example:) ) I still haven't tried it out though,I will be running outside for as long as I can.

I received my treadmill for Xmas about 5 years ago - that was one of the best presents I ever got! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I've enjoyed mine!

Happy New Year!
