I tried NutriSystem

I tried NutriSystem. It was advertised a lot recently and sounded good since I have trouble with portion control.
They send you prepackaged food to your door. So I ordered the trial ($30 incl. shipping for 5 days of food: 3 meals and a snack- you're supposed to supplement it with milk products and fruits/veg)

Well, I didn't like the food- 1/2 of it is still sitting in the box. It's like microwave dinners but you don't need to refrigerate it. Some of the lunches are in those soup cup things. The breakfasts are little oatmeal packs or cereal packs. I was disappointed personally. For it to work, I think you'd need to get rid of any other food in the house (besides fruit, vegs, milk products) because it'd be easy to pig out if you didn't like a meal or wanted more.

One nice thing was a little checkbook style journal. And they offer online support. It's not super expensive if you think about it either-$6 a day (the amount I spend on breakfast at Starbucks!)

Just wanted to let you know my opinion. I hadn't heard much about it myself until I ordered it. Don't NOT get it just because of me though since we all have different tastes. I can see why it would work well for some people.

Hi 123! There's still nothing better than cooking your own meals. I understand the convenience of having prepackaged food but there's really no comparison. There are 2 great cookbooks Low Carb Meals in Minutes and Stella's Kitchen. Both are at amazon & not very expensive either. You have to plan out your week's worth of meals in advance & don't have any junk food in the fridge or pantry to tempt you. Once you get used to doing this it becomes second nature. Good luck & I hope I've been of help to you. Best, Kathy;-)
