I think I need a pep talk....

Feeling a lil blue and know I shouldn't. Reaching the 20 weeks I've turned that corner where things are changing. Breasts are getting HUGE and belly is getting big and nipples have changed:eek: You know how everything just starts getting.....bigger!
I know it's for a good cause and only temporary but, eh.x(
I LOVE LOVE babies and I LOVE the relief and euphoria after giving birth, but I don't love being prego so much. I already get so uncomfortable by the end of the day. I feel my belly has stretched out completely and I look 8 months prego. Anyway, just had to express....

I know exactly how you feel. I went through the same thing around 20 weeks but the funny thing is around week 24 I started feeling better. I think it is hard to see our bodies change so much and have no control over it. People expect pregnant women to glow for 9 months(ya right)and thats not realistic. Know you are not alone and it will get better:)

Hang in there! oh I know it is tough! I had a really, really hard pregnancy with my daughter (born 11/08/05) no exercise at all!!!
I was exercising 6 days a week prior to being preggo and had to stop at 5.5 weeks of being preggo! Man, oh man, oh mad did I have a hard time. I get my mood lifter from exercising so not only did I feel like Anna Nicole Smith with my chest (went from D to E cup!) I also felt like Shamoo with the belly. I only gained 27 lbs started out at 145 (I'm 5'11) and shot up there. My hips and behind got VERY large for the first time and I could not wait to pop my daughter out!

Giving birth was the best day too! I had my fab little girl and knew it would not be long before I could pop my Cathe tapes in and loose all that weight....3.5 months later hips are still a little on the big side and ohh that last few pounds are still there......

But....here is your pep talk.....hang in there! Your wonderful, fantastic little person will be here so soon and knowing you did all that hard work to have that fantastic little person is so worth having to take it easy for a few months! Not to mention the maternity clothes out there are better than the regular clothes!
I know it's easy to feel a little blue and somedays I felt a lot blue, but looking back now it all goes by so fast and I swear having my daughter really helped me see what life is all about. Now she even watches the Cathe tapes while I am working out and smiles at me while I am working out! It is such motivation!

BTW-Boy or Girl? So many boys being born right now! Babies are wonderful!

Thanks you girlys for helping me out. It's so funny I just did LoMax and felt better, but it'll come back later!!
I find out what i"m having on Tues. CANNOT wait!! I'll post it for sure!!
I know what you mean, Hannah watches me do step and loves it, she tries to climb on it while I'm using it, so cute.
I do agree that having her totally showed me what life is all about. Wow what we truly didn't know! Thank god for being a woman:D

I just hate feeling that way, I know it's so silly and yet out of our control;(
I have a gift certificate for Tailored for Two, they have such cute stuff! I'm just waiting til I get a lil bigger though. I'm in Arizona and it's about to get super warm here in March so I'll buy tanks to get me through these next few months. I just hope my arms don't get big!!!!!!! The boobs are enough, I really can't believe people pay to have them this big....LOL>

Mary, Yeah to you for your placenta moving up. I'm very happy for you. Enjoy working out again.

I live in Texas and it was so nasty hot last summer and I lived in Old Navy tank tops, I had every color and was to the point where I wanted to call OldNavy and ask them to come up with some new colors......I was really bored not being able to work out....

Now, here is a little more humor for you, if this does not crack you up I will retire my comedy for good......My chest was the first thing to just pop out (I bought my chest a few years ago and always thought I wanted them bigger....oh so don't think that any more)...anyway back to the story here...I could not fit into my bras any more so I decided that I was NEVER going to wear the maternity bras no matter what, I mean hey I was only 27 and those things looked like something granny would wear and I was NOT going to go there....so I ventured into my local Victoria's Secret to find a new bra, the lady measured me (wait..important part here, I did not even look preggo at all) and her eyes became real big and she looked at me and told me to go back to my doctor and get a refund because they don't make bras big enough for me.....I was like OMG lady I am going to slap you......I ended up having to shop all around to find a E cup, and let's be frank, there are not E cups that are decent at all....I felt like a ding dong in those bras. My poor husband had to go through this experience with me and when we finally found the E cup we got home and I had bought 2 large cantalopes, he took them and put them in the bra and the put the bra around his chest, put a shirt on and started dancing around the house making fun of me..........my name became "Dolly" after that.

I know how you feel. I actually just vented in the moms check in at vf. I am at 26 weeks and have vericose veins everywhere and thighs have become thunder thighs. I physically feel good though and working out helps. I do confess though, I like my new big boobs.

Oh you guys are soooo funny! I always wondered what it was like getting boobs and then getting prego with them, how they'd get...
I'm a full C naturally and mine just get huge so I totally wondered. Dolly, your husband is fantastic! An E!!! Are you preggy now?
Shopaholic (i love that nickname!!) I didn't see your post yet. I'm so sorry for how you feel, since I feel the same. Like Marleysmom says, we'll feel better. sigh :-( Are your new boobs from preggy or dr? My friends that are naturally small chested do love their boobs when they get preggy. Enjoy;-) I'd love to give you some of mine.

Feel good!

i wish i liked my boobs. too me they are jsut so flabby, and my usually toned arms are flabby. and my butt and thighs are flabby, and my tummy is just bigger. you are all so right, it is for a good cause. but i miss feeling my own body, and maybe b/c this is my first, i am not sure if it will ever be back. i feel so much better when i exercise, i then am just surprised when i look in the mirror. i think i expect to see the old me not the preggo me. but i wanted a baby so very badly. and i am not one of those women who can jsut refuse to eat, so, flabby i am!

on a more peppy note, it is nice to know i am not the only one who feels this way.

23 weeks and counting down!

Omigosh Morris!!! It sooooooooooooooo goes away. You will be so tiny again don't you worry. I gained so much with Hannah and I was teeny tiny and my pre preg jeans were big on me by the time Hannah was 7 months. Then I find out I'm preggy again. It's soooo worth it. The flabby is preggy flab that's why we feel blue cuz that's what it is and it's hard to look at when none of us are used to it;-) I agree with you, I eat!!!! I can't wait til we're all closer and talk about how low the baby is and how we can't walk!!!!:7

Hi CurlyQtee,

I just wanted to say that you are doing just fine and what you are feeling is normal. I know it really stinks watching your body change but, you just need to let it go. Just continue to watch your diet and exercise and enjoy the miracle growing in you. I'm currently 26 weeks and I totally know understand what you are going through.

Also, I know it can be hard, but, try to ignore what everyone says about weight gain and the 6.3 pounds they put on. (arggh!) For the most part those people are not the average. Everyone is different and everyone will gain the correct amount of weight for them. Your butt, thighs, belly ... well, everything will get bigger. Thankfully it all comes off as well.

Hang in there... your due date will be here before you know it.

Hi Kristi, thank you!!
I actually have only gained 7 pounds so far. With Hannah I gained 15 in the first half:eek:
But I guess I just wasn't mentally ready for the physical changes yet. But definitly ready for #2. I wanted them super close in age;-)

But I"m sure I'll gain a ton in the end. I can't believe what I got like in the 9th month!!!!! Everyone does carry different. I'll get over it, just not enjoying the mirror right nowx(

Just remember the chest weighs about 5 lbs so far!!!
I actually did the "jenny mccarthy" and weighed mine on a food scale when I was preggo! I told everyone I needed a fork life to pick those things up!

Oh what we go through for those great little babies!

And...anyone who says the love being preggo, I guess they never had the toxic preggo gas fumes after eating mexican food or too many veggies! haha!
You will be a lean, mean , mommy machine before you know it! :7
