I swear I was just minding my own business....

Hi, ladies:

I have not been around these forums in some time because I have been too busy SLIDING backwards as fast as I could. I don't know what happened; I think I was focusing too much on doing really heavy weights and ended up burning myself out.

So, I did High Step Challenge this afternoon and discovered that I really like Cathe's stepping... when it is more manageable than, say, the dreaded IMAX2, my only other Cathe step workout, which has been gathering dust on my shelf since my initial, accident-riddled attempt! Eh-hem. I am an utter step clutz! I feel I must confess this out loud.

Anyway, I thought I'd poke around here and see if I couldn't lap up someone else's motivation. You know the rest.

I bought:

Basic Step & Body Fusion, Body Blast 5-Day TimeSaver, Cardio Hits, Low Max, and Ab Hits. I really want Rhythmic Step, but it is on backorder.

I am hoping I can work my way up to your level. ;-)

Thank the goddess for credit cards...

Cheers,
Marie

Good for you Marie! Just pick yourself up and brush yourself off and get back to it girl! And don't over do it!! Kali

Welcome back! I'm glad you posted this about heavy weights- it will serve to keep me on track!
Hmm... Imax2 just sitting around... I'm jealous! I've been trying to get one off ebay and it isn't working.
Anyway, I'm a little short of motivation myself these days- but new workouts always help!!
Good luck!

Marie - I am a natural-born klutz! I feel your pain! But there is hope for you - because I got nearly all the step combos in Low Max the very first time I did it. So give that one a try - it's really not very bad at all. :) The IMAXes are really complicated - it took me several tries to get IMAX3 down and I still trip over myself occasionally. ;) Oh, and Basic Step is really refreshing if you need a step workout where you don't have to do too much thinking. :D You'll get better at it - just keep trying!

Marie-I too am a klutz. I have been trying to get the steps down for any of the DVD's and not having much luck. Keep trying though, I imagine we will pick it up at some point. Maybe should ask Emily to be our teacher since she is picking them up so well. Yoo hoo Emily!?;-)

Marie, what all do you own? I have a few VHS that I don't use because I converted to DVDs. If you can use them, let me know. Just PM me with what you already have. But by all means, get back into the groove girlfriend! We all have our slacking off times and it's normal, it just can't go on & on...

Marie - I can't count the number of times I've tripped, ended up on the wrong side of the step, on the wrong foot, fallen off... I think we all have that klutz gene, but good for you for deciding to get back on the horse;) Lowmax is awesome and not too difficult to learn. Cathe takes a lot of time to build the step combos and there's not a lot of complex leaping around. But don't think that means it's easy!!!

Marla - Limecat wondered if he could perhaps get the number of the wild looking little vixen in your avatar?

Actually, Limecat is speaking of the yowling feline with the jack o'lantern. He thought maybe if they got together, him with his lime helmet and the other cat with her (or his) pumpkin (which could easily be made into suitable headgear), world domination couldn't possibly be far behind

Marie - I'm on the backwards slide too. I was focussing on doing the heavy weights too and it kind of turned me off. Made me bored or something. Then I went out of town, then got sick, then went out of town again, then the weather was TOO hot! And then I had things to do after work, during me scheduled workout time. I've managed to get 3 workouts a week in, but I'm not happy with that.

Today, I swear, I will begin getting back to the 6 days a week!

Rhythmic Step is a lot of fun! I've got the Gym Styles sitting on my china cabinet. I'm not allowed to open them until my birthday though.x(

Hi, ladies:

Thanks all very much for your empathetic klutziness. :) I do appreciate your support.

I ended up working out both Saturday and Sunday and am planning on doing L&G later. I figure if I get back into the things that I really enjoy that will help to keep me going.

I can't wait to get my new workouts, though!

Thanks again!
Marie
