I received by Avia shoes today.

I ordered the black Avia shoes that Cathe is wearing in Kick Max and received them today. I really like them. They look really cool. I have a small foot (5-1/2), but these shoes make my feet look tiny. My boys will definitely be making fun of my tiny feet when they see them. They feel very comfortable, but I won't be doing any impact cardio until tomorrow to give them a try. They feel very well padded in the heel section as well as the ball of the foot which I'm not sure my other shoes have as I noticed it right away. My take on the fit. If you have a fairly wide foot, I'm not sure they would fit. They came with the laces already in them and I had to completely loosen them up and I'll need new shoestrings as once they were loosened up, they were not long enough for all the holes. The length is perfect. I think I could have gone a 1/2 size larger and still be all right with thick socks. If I ever order from this company again, I will order a 6 instead of a 5-1/2 unless these end up stretching out some.

Thanks for sharing that, Kelly.
I am thinking of ordering them and was wondering how true to size Avia's shoes are now. I used to wear Avia's when I used to to the Firm, as in Volumes 1-6 days..long time ago. Rykas run a bit smaller so my size 7 had to be a Ryka size 8.
Thanks again for the heads up.;-)

Hey all!

I just ordered them this morning and the guy recommended I order what I NORMALLY wear! My foot measured a 6 1/2 on their chart but I told him that lately I have been wearing 7's or 7 1/2 depending on the make. He said I should order the 7 1/2! I'm a bit nervous they will be too big since it is a whole size bigger then the chart recommended. I'll let you know how they fit after they arrive. Kath, go to http://www.aviaselect.com/womens/aerobics.html and scroll down to the black shoes. Also, a BIG hello to you and I'll return your E-mail "survey" soon! Ha!

RE: Hey all!

Hi Wanda, I used to wear Avias way back also. I used to teach aerobics many years ago and Avias were the only shoe that didn't make my feet hurt, but here lately I've only been able to find crosstrainers and not an actual aerobic shoe. This is an aerobic shoe and I'm excited to give them a try. I did buy my normal shoe size and like I said I will buy 1/2 size bigger next time, but these are going to be fine.

Kathy I ordered from the site that Debbie posted. If I'm not mistaken the shoes are on special right now at the instructor price for the holidays. After the holidays the price goes up, but I could be wrong.

Debbie, I measured a 5-1/2 by the Avia measurements and that is what I ordered. I'm going to keep them, but next time will go 1/2 size larger. Let me know how your's fit at a full size larger.

RE: Hey all!

I just placed my order THEN I measured my foot using their chart. LOL
My foot measured 9 1/2 but I already ordered a 7 1/2. Perhaps wearing heavy socks will take up extra room if there they are too big. I'll let you all know how they work out when I get them. They sure are neat looking shoes aren't they. They look tough..like they mean business when working out. }(

RE: Hey all!

Debbie,

Thanks for the shoe info. I just ordered them in a big size 10!! I'll let you know how they fit.

RE: Hey all!

Hey everybody,
On your computer printout of your Avia receipt, on the left hand side, right underneath the style number "672WBV" what does your number say? Is this your shoe size?
Just asking because I thought I pressed the 7.5 button but there is a 07.0 on my printout. I am wondering what this number is.
If it is my shoe size then I'm happy because I was thinking 7.5 might be too big.

RE: Hey all!

Thanks a bunch for answering my question Kelly. I sigh a relief.((hugs))
Now if you could just answer a sentence structure question I'm having trouble with for my test......Hahaha..

RE: Hey all!

Hey Wanda, I may not be able to help you with the sentence, but I am a medical transcriptionist which I think I read you're doing.

RE: Hey all!

Kelly, I could really use your help. Would you mind emailing me at home or the PM box? I am going nuts, cuckoo, bananas over this sentence. I cannot tell for sure where the comma goes, if there even should be a comma.
Do you have my email addy?

(((((hugs)))))

RE: Personal email

Hi Kelly,
I sent you a PM regarding my comma question. Thank you so very much for looking at this for me.:)

Wanda not again!!

Ok I just caved in and order them too:). Wanda we are going to be broke after this, LOL. How is your test coming along? Hope all is well:).

RE: Wanda not again!!

Yep, had to have 'em! LOL. I told my husband a while ago that I wanted a pair of black workout shoes...and wouldn't you know, Cathe wears the coolest pair...so I couldn't resist.

I am through with the test except for some fine tuning. Kelly has been so gracious to offer her help on this weird sentence that has driven me crazy for 3 days. (THANKS KELLY :) On my tests, not only do I have to put in commas etc., but I have to know the reason (rule) WHY I put it there. At any rate, I will be sending my written and transcription test in next week. Then I'm going to clean house, do my Cathe and try not to think about what is going on during the grading process; yeah right! LOL (I have to maintain a 97 average and that is the kicker as it is very hard to do; for me anyway.)

Thanks Barbara, for asking. Hey, with our new outfits and new shoes, we will have to keep in touch and tell each other what workout we will be doing that day and what outfit we're wearing. LOL
