I punched myself in the nose doing KickMax!

I have no idea why I am admitting this but I went into autopilot doing KickMax and got myself right in the nose with an uppercut!! Nice to know I have a pretty good punch if I ever need to use it. <LOL>

Thought maybe some of you could use a good laugh today.

I am always *SO* afraid that I will do this. I think that Cathe even mentions that if you aren't careful you might punch yourself in one of those vids! That is you, girlfriend! Hee hee :) LOL

Don't be afraid to admit it. I have come close a few times myself. Actually, an uppercut is supposed to be thrown AWAY from your body. Your punch is supposed to catch your *opponent* in the jaw so it needs to be out and away from your body. I noticed that the girls in the videos sometimes don't really demonstrate that form pointer very well. I'm guilty of the same thing.

At least you haven't scratched yourself in the face while doing "party arms" (from an old Cathe video) :)

Lois, I've done the same before. I had this tendency, since Cathe always says keep that arm close to the ribcage, to keep my forearm and fist clipped close to my body as well. Doing Billy Blanks' instructional workout in his 2004 series changed that, thank goodness.

Haven't managed to do that yet. But every time Cathe says "imagine you're coming up under a jaw" for some reason it sounds to me like she's saying "imagine you're coming up under a DOG" and I almost pee my pants laughing!
