Hi everybody,

I have been doing Cathe from FitTV for a couple months. I have 17 different workouts of hers on my TIVO. Granted most of them are edited and are missing parts of the workout. For instance I did slow and heavy chest today, the incline bench press and incline chest press and pushups were ommited. I also did slow and heavy tricpes and nothing was ommitted. When I do cardio I usually do jumping jacks, run in place, etc. during commercials.

My question is do you think I could get a good workout continuing with this? I want to buy some of Cathe's DVD's . I can probably afford the DVD's but my husband is used to me getting into something and then quitting. I love Cathe and have actually stuck with her quite consistently and have seen some improvements. My arms look much better, my stomach is flatter, and my legs are changing shape. I am also a runner.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Lori

Hi Lori! I think it's great Fit TV has so many of her workouts and I'm sure you probably could continue to use just the ones you've taped and get great workouts...having said that, though, I don't think there's any substitute for the actual DVD's...just the fantastic array of premixes alone makes them worth it! It's like having tons of different workouts. :)

Hi

I think you have proberly answered your own question whether the way you workout is working?

Your arms look better
Stomach flatter
Legs changing shape
And your a runner - one of the best calorie burners

Just make sure your have enough variety of workouts taped so you have accomplished a total muscle balance by the end of the week - and continue to fit in your cardio.

You could also.........when there are commercial breaks...........fit in some of your own back work for example if you know that area will be ommitted from the tape. Most commercials are 2-3 minutes long, so thats plenty of time to achieve a decent amount of reps.

I think as long as the 3 principals if exercise are adhered to; Cardio Vascular, Strength and Stretch, then ANY way the body is challenged is the RIGHT WAY

Im sure your DH has also noticed your body changes, and will not think any money you do spend on DVDs will be a waste of money or time. If you have done so well from Fit TV - imagine what you can acomplish from the DVDs!!

Good luck and keep that body active

:)

TerryMia and Claridge--thank you for your responses. I guess I am on the fence and I wanted to make up my mind.

Thanks:)
