I need a team name!

Can anyone think of a good name for my wellness team at work? We're HR, so it has to be politically correct.

It's like a summer wellness contest. The goal is to get everyone exercising regularly and eating healthier. The team who reaches their goals the best wins, I guess. I'm not really sure HOW they're going to do it. I'm our team captain, though.

Seems to me like there was no question over who should be team captain!

I think the slogan for your team should be "A little 'hard' won't hurt you"!!

But a name for the team...that's hard because I can think of a non-PC permutation of each one!! LOL
Goal Busters (only if you had a group of DDD women)
Weight Lifters (up up and away)
Fanny Lifters (as Lisa Kay would say, it really lifts your fanny!)

Ew. None of these are any good at ALL.

How many people are on your team?

Actually, I like those names. Especially Goal Busters and Weight Lifters. Fanny Lifters would be rejected by the head of HR.

I think we'll have about 7 people on the team.

I second "a little hard won't hurt you". I really enjoy a lot of the slogans on here!

I also love Emily's "I'd give up chocolate, but I'm no quitter" but I think it's not quite as wellness related as you would like...hehe.

I remember this one from a poster in an alternative school where I did social work and it really stuck:

"you miss 100% of the shots you never take"

You could spoof "Team in Training" somehow, or use something like To Your Health or In Good Health, or On the Move or something like BMIncredibles. But that won't work if you're in a health setting and they'll think it's BM-Incredibles rather than Body Mass Incredibles.

Work is boring today so let me know if you want me to keep coming up with zany no good ideas! ;) LOL

How about:

HealthNuts (nuts-may not be PC)
Team Health
Team Energy

I like To Your Health, as Amy mentioned. That's a good one. Or how about Summer Wellness Challenge, or Healthy Summer Challenge?

Lori

I like To Your Health too. I think not enough people would get the BMIncredibles. We've got quite a few slugs around here that we're trying to turn around.

My dh just gave me some good ideas:

The Sweaters
Maximum Pumpitude
The Dumbells

I like The Sweaters the best.

I did a challenge like that earlier in the year. Team names were quite varied, some focusing on fitness, some more identifying the people involved. Our team was the "Polyglots" (because we all spoke more than one language), which had nothing to do with fitness!

Some other names, which may inspire you:
Buff babes (a student group)
Deadweight losers
Flab fighters
Hoohaa half dozen (which, like the Fab 5, focused on the number of people on the team)
Ship Shapers
HR Huff 'n Puff Stuff
5 Old ladies and a babe
Lighter writers (from the English department)

I submitted a bunch and they're voting on them today. I'll have to wait to find out which won, because I'm leaving for Chicago in a few hours and won't be back to my office until Tuesday. Unless they email me at my AOL account, but I doubt they realize how much I care.
