For the past 2 days I have had no motivation to workout. Actually in my head I figured I would get to it but it never happened. Yesterday I was busy cleaning and shopping for my DD BDay party. And today was the party and I've just been to lazy to put on my workout gear and go to it. It's rainy and cold and I really just want to nap. I just feel bad because I ate so much processed crap it hurts. I feel like a bad person and just had to tell on myself.

Please kick me in the patooty!!x(

Sounds like you were very busy these past couple of days. Give yourself a break. Start fresh tomorrow with a clean diet and a good work out! You'll forgive yourself in no time! :) In the meantime, drink a glass of water and take that nap if you want it! Rest is also a vital component to fitness you know!;)

BAM! ;-)

I know what you mean about no motivation. I find that there are those days when it's just easier to let the workout slide and watch a movie or something. But once I get my workout clothes on and start the workout, the momentum usually keeps me going. Sometimes, I find that thinking that I 'should" do some intense workout actually keeps me from doing anything, but if I give myself permission to do whatever workout I feel like, I actually get moving.

You know the Nike saying: "Just do it!"

Get to that closet, pick out your favorite workout clothes, stick in a fun workout, and get to it, woman!!

:*

Thanks for the kick, I think I will take that nap and start fresh tomorrow. You ladies are awesome I feel a little better!!;-)

Jenn,

We all have days like that, I just went through not too long ago and posted a thread as well. Take it easy on yourself, there's always tomarrow to start fresh. Recovery is important as much as the workout so that you don't get burned out (like I did).

Enjoy your Day.

Jenn,

Like the others said sometimes you just need to take a rest. Enjoy tonight and maybe sit down and write down your workout for each day this week and just start again tomorrow!!

Good post! Hope today you were able to re-commit yourself. You know you ALWAYS feel better after you've actually completed the workout!

The other day I was so exhausted from not sleeping well that I had a hard time doing one of Cathe's workouts (Lowmax). I made it to the middle of Interval 5 and felt that was good enough. Then when the DVD returned to me to the chapter menu and I see that I only had two intervals left, I rested a minute, then went for it. I amazed myself and felt great.

Today though, I feel like you - yesterday was more of a couch potato day and ate some cookies I baked over the weekend - I have NO willpower. Kind of bums me out when I eat bad. But a long time ago I did "Think Light" program (3 month eating program which works really good), and one of the sayings is one that I live by when I start beating myself up is "Negative self-talk" - nip it in the bud. Give yourself a break, and start in the next day. If you go off the wagon, just deal with it and get right back on.

Hope this helps! (PS - Think this lousy weather has something to do with our moods???);-)
