I must confess...

I have seriously neglected my body the last two weeks. I have been sick now for three days, but that is no excuse for not working out for two weeks. I guess I'm just writing this for accountability. I plan to start out slowly Thursday (hopefully, I'll be feeling better by then). Wish me luck. (Thankfully, I haven't gained any weight, although I'm sure I've lost some muscle.)

I was diagnosed with tarsal tunnel about two months ago. I am just now able to work out. I worked out Saturday, Sunday, and did some yard work. I believe muscles have a memory because my body tightened right up.

That's good to know. I hope mine remember something. :) We'll see.
I love the Bootcamp workout, but I'm not even going to try that for a couple of weeks.

Hi Shirley -

Don't worry about it - take it slow, listen to your body - you don't want to get sick again. It won't take long to catch up again. Just don't over do it!

Hope you feel better soon -

Angie

Shirley - just think of it as a minor glitch. Just posting here to be accountable is a great first step. I'm glad you're feeling better and happy to see you back posting:)

Thank you all! I will try to get some rest; and take it easy.

I've missed Cathe, the board, and chatting with you, Shelley.

Hi Shirley ~

Visualize yourself having a great workout on Thursday. YOU CAN DO IT! I've just gotten over being sick myself for about 4 days so I hear 'ya loud and clear.

I hope you're feeling much better and back in "the game". Take care, girl! Get pumped!

Hi Shirley. I can relate. It's not a big deal. The important thing is that you're getting back on track. That's what Catheites do. Some people go to the gym in January and then give up 3 weeks later and try exercising again after making their new year's resolutions the next year and repeat the cycle all over again, but not us. We go back to our good habits as soon as possible.

Do you have CTX? Those short cardios are great for starting again after a couple of weeks of resting. I think you should go easy on the weights and do shorter cardios.

Shirley, just think how good you're going to feel after you workout! Ahhhh it will be refreshing after having been sick! :)
