I was viewing the clips of this workout:
http://www.ontheedgefitness.com/videos.html

And I sorta like it.

Is this a good place to start?

I need a motivating dvd with background music if possible.

So what exactly does a beginner need for this type of workout and how would you include it into a rotation?

I'm not saying I'm going to rush out and get it now ...... but like I said I can see myself becoming allured by this type of thing :p

I know after I said once this type of workout doesn't interest me but I can change my mind right?

I read reviews on this workout on another forum and it got great reviews. The people that responded said that it has good form pointers and moves a little slower than the Providence (Art of Strength) workouts but it's still intense.

It seem like it would be a good place to start. It's a bit hard for me to gauge since I had personal instruction. You definitely want to start either at 15 or 20 pounds depending on your fitness level. Like traditional weight work, their will be certain exercises that you will be able to go heavier on than others. I did start at 20 pounds but I have bells that range from 10 pounds to 35 pounds.

Since it's summer and I'm am to workout in my yard, I've been incorporating kettlebells very frequently, at least 3 to 4 times a week. Most of these are circuit type workouts or crossfit type workouts. I'm really seeing great results. They will definitely add some variety to your workouts.

HTH,

I'm waiting for this one to come in any time now. I'll post a review when I get it. I was reading the posts on another forum too and I'm glad to hear the good reviews. I'd say it's probably a good dvd for starting out since it doesn't do any of the "difficult" moves but it is also still a good workout. And also it was said that there is good instruction seperate from the workouts. I am really looking forward to trying this one.

just bought a kettlebell

I just bought a 15 pounder and would welcome advice on DVDs to buy for a beginner. I will wait to see your review of this one, but are there any workouts specifically for beginners??

Thanks!
