I LOVED SUPERSETS!

I got this workout on VHS and I LOVED IT! I was really hesitant because of all the comments about it not being as tough, so I went as heavy as I could and my body was completely worked! I think it was trying to stabilize myself on the ball and keep good form throughout the workout that really made it unique! I am putting it into my rotation for the next four weeks :) My favorite excercises were:

SeeSaw :) Terrific tricep challenge
Biceps on the ball with the barbell - it really isolated my biceps!
Something where you use your core and roll the ball forward and then back into your body - I really felt my back muscles engage too :)

For the legs it was a good workout too bc I went heavier and my legs were shaking when I was done :)

I am doing Push/Pull on Tuesday :)

Hi Reba:

Yep I'm another person who really likes SS and PP. True if you find the right weights it's great.

Glad to hear another person who likes it :)

This DVD will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the first Cathe DVD I completely finished.:+

not being tough?? ha, whoever says that isn't using as heavy a weight as they should be ;)

Agreed :D I think SS and PP are such great workouts. What I like MOST, though, is that they're different. They're a bit shorter, and just plain fun. when you heavy up, it's very tough!!

I haven't done these in a while as I've been hardcore (ha ha) into the Gym Styles and Muscle Max. It's probably time I revisit this workout and Push/Pull. :)

I do like the functional fitness aspects of SS and PP. And I really like some of the premixes (double upper body, for example), which can be more intense than the workouts done "as-is."

I agree that those who say the workouts are "too easy" either aren't using a heavy enough weight, OR are not taking advantage of the instability of the "stability ball" to give themselves a balance challenge (which makes even light weights more effective). If you sit or lie on the ball with your feet closer together, there is more challenge, and more muscles are put to work. I find with FF workouts or those that incorporate balance challenges, that they may not seem as strenuous at the time, but you can get some goot DOMS to prove that they were working.
