I love Insanity... but...

I NEEED to do weights.. I just don't feel complete without them in my routine. I started by doing two upper body workouts a week aswell as the insnaity rotation, but now I'm trying one body part a day (no legs though... I think they're taking enough of a beating) but the problem is my muscles are then too sore to do all the drills :(

Has anyone else found a way to do it along with the insanity rotation? I'm on month two. I managed to do STS with month one.. but now i've finished that.. and month two is tons harder! I don't want to lose strength while doing Insanity, because I was so proud of my results from STS. But I'm not stopping Insanity.. I've not come this far to turn back now!
Has anybody found a solution?

I made my Insanity rotation 1 day longer and put 1 upper body weight work out in per week on the last day before my rest day. Or you could do it as your first work out of the week! It worked well for me. HTH! :)

To be honest, I never understood why people only did Insanity and excluded weights. It has always been my plan that once I purchase Insanity, I will also purchase Pyramid Upper and Lower body from Cathe to go along with it.

I am doing Insanity in order, but not exclusively. So I use Insanity for my cardio days, and continue to do kettlebell and weight exercises on my weight days.
That way I feel like I'm getting a well-rounded workout.

Thank you all for your responses :) i like the idea of extending the rotation a day.. it sounds like a good plan. I'm glad others of you feel the same way about not doing weights :) I will most definitely not stop doing them with Insanity now :)

I'm going to be doing Insanity Upper Body today... just to try and get a bit of both in... is this a proper weights workout? Or another Sean T cardio fest ? :D

Shaun's U/B is a great upper body weight work out (pyramid style) as well as a good sweat fest!:)

I love this workout!! I wish he would do a weighted workout series like P90X. He is an amazing instructor, and I really enjoy working out with him.

I just finisished it! Pushups into front raises???:confused: That was fun/painful/frustrating/awesome all at once :)

I really enjoyed this workout :)
