I know this topic has been brought up so many times....

But I am in the need of a good sunless tanning lotion (preferably not a mist) that has the least amount of "stink" to it. I have been using the Jergen's Natural Glow lotion and I love the results, but it never seems to really "dry" so I always feel sticky and it is starting to make my clothes and furniture smell like the perfumy smell they put in the lotion.

I have used Coppertone and Bein Du Soliel in the past, but the chemical smell was so overwhelming. It's been several years, I don't suppose they've improved it since then???

Help, I am white again and it is driving me insane!!!

Thanks,

Katie

I just read that Coppertone's Endless Summer Tanning Lotion has a "new and improved" scent. Has anyone tried it?

Tan Towels are my favorite. I first saw them on the Home Shopping Network but you can buy them online. I get them at my hair salon. They wipe on with a moist towlette (like Wet Ones) and I love the result so much better than the creams or sprays.

I've been using Neutrogena Build-A-Tan all summer and not only is it very easy to use, no smell at all, dries completely (something that is a must, I hate feeling sticky), and looks natural, but I've gotten loads of compliments on my "tan." My SIL who uses tanning beds, didn't believe that mine was out of a bottle. My skin is naturally more olive/tan but by no means dark (and a beautiful pasty white in the winter), but it's also worked very well for my mother who has completely different type/shade of skin than I do.
Good luck,
Mattea

Mattea - I just looked this up online and now I'm torn between that one and the Coppertone. I noticed that Neutrogena also has a "pre-sunless" scrub to exfoliate. Have you tried that?

I love Coppertone, it has given me an awesome fake tan that everyone thinks is real. I get told, "it must be nice to be able to lay in the sun for hours." By people who just pass me by and admire my tan. Or wish they had it. I like the gradual tan as you can really control it. And it's fast within a couple of hours it will start to show up on you, and you can simply rub more on until you get the desired darkness. Then all you have to do is put it on once every other day or every two days there after. I'm hard on my skin, so you maybe able to get away with waiting longer. I hit the showers at least 4 times a day, and in and out of a pool, which I think, must have 50% chorine in it. It makes my eyes water just passing by the door, way before ever getting close enough to get into it.

Katie,
When I first bought the Neutrogena it came in a value pack of the Sunless Scrub, two scrubbing mitts, the body tanner, and the face tanner (for $15 at Target, not a bad deal!). I've been extremely happy with all the products in the pack. The scrub has lasted me since I first bought it back in May and I use it approximately 3 times a week. The face tanner is still the original bottle, but I'm on my second bottle of body tanner. The scrub smells good and leaves your skin very soft, especially in combination with the very scratchy mitts. It has an extremely light scent that doesn't linger too long after the shower.
I found that for my skin tone I've had to use the tanner about 3 consecutive days to reach my desired shade and then everyday to everyother day (depending on if I swim in between :) ) to maintain that shade.
HTH,
Mattea

OMG, you must try Loreal Sublime Bronze!!! It is so awesome!! I got the one that is tinted so that you get some instant color (I like instant gratification.) After 2 days of using the stuff, everyone kept commenting on my tan and how good it looked. My husband even asked me to get him some. I got him the one that isn't tinted and it is amazing as well! The stuff does not have a bad smell, and believe me, I am very sensitive to it. The Jergens stuff made me sick!! Oh I can't go on enough about how much I love this stuff. Good luck!
