Hi Girls!

Just got home from OK and I was planning to start TS today, but not sure if I have the time or the energy for even a 38 min. workout!! Well, that just sounds sad.:( I need to go to the grocery store, do laundry and color my hair all tonight. Maybe I'll do some stretching tonight.

Deanie~ I saw your October rotation and it looks good. Once again thank you for being my "trainer". Well, you AND Cathe!:D

Marcy~How was your weekend?

Manic Monday

Good Morning

Today was Timesaver chest and tri. I subbed a 20 min run on the treadmill for the step work. The workout was GOOD!! And the pushups were hard! I really felt them in my abs!:p Very different, doing cardio first.

Gin~ Glad you had a nice weekend. How did you like the workout today?

Marcy ~ I hope you had a nice weekend. What's on tap for today?

I have off today thru wednesday (holiday) so I am running errands (mammogram this morning) and cooking all day :) My younger DS wants to walk home from school today, so I will pick him up (its about a mile from home) I can really use the 3 day break, even though I will be in Shul tonight, tomorrow and wed. I still am looking forward to sleeping later:)!

Good Morning Ladies!

Today I did TS#1 and then ran 3 miles. Glad to hear that you also thought the pushups were hard, Deanie! I couldn't even do them all!:eek: The step portion from SJP was fun and easy, but the weights were hard for me. I had to get up at 4:30 to get it all in.

Deanie~Is Yom Kippur this week? Enjoy your time off. What are you cooking? Will you have family over? Enjoy your walk to pick up ds. It was 62 here this morning, but will probably get up into the 90's this aft.

Marcy~How are you? Who do you predict will go home on DWTS next? I just wish it weren't 2 hours long!:confused:

Good Morning!

Today was the Power Squeeze from Squeeze (26 mins.) Had a bad night's sleep. Having a little family crisis with DS (don't know if he'll be coming down to stay with us for a little while). Also did 3 3/4 chinups in a row (new record!:D) and 2 pullups.

I took measurements from my rotation:

Lost 1" from upper hips
Lost 1/2" from above chest
Lost 1/2" from mid right thigh and 1/4" from inner thigh
Lost 1/4" from mid left thigh and stayed the same on left inner thigh

My arms are definitely more cut.

Weight - 121 pounds (lowest in a long time!) I'll be continuing the rotation for this week. Not ready to concentrate on a new rotation anyway.

Weekend workouts:

Sat:

2 3/4 chins
1 chin
East Coast Swing lessons
1 pullup
1 chinup

Sun:

2 sets of 3 chins.

Deanie - Congrats to your DS on the winning goal! How's your shoulder? Good to see you taking it easy for a change. L'Shana Tova! Enjoy your walk later.

Gin - Pushups are always tough in C&T! It was 66 this morning going up to 85 today. I just love the weather down here. But the gas shortage is another story. We were on line Sat. morning luckily only for 15 mins. We have enough for the next few days. Traffic was really light today (I wonder how many people couldn't go to work because they couldn't find gas.)

Not sure who will be leaving DWTS this week. They all danced so much better the second night. Cloris probably should go (but she might have a wide fan base and people find her entertaining). I also think Kim Kardashian or Rocco di Spirito might go but we might see even more improvements this week. I don't think I could sit through 2 hrs either. I only get through it because it's only 1:15 with TIVO.

Hi again

Gin~ It does make a difference doing the cardio first, doesn't it?? I am cooking brisket for tonight. I usually like to cook it the day ahead of time, but we were running all over yesterday. We have no one coming over :( but I am the only one sad about that. DH and the boys are okay with it. Tonight starts Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year. It ends on Wed. at sundown. (I will still be working out, because its a fun holiday, but next week for Yom Kippur, I will be taking the day off of working out)

Marcy~ Thank you for the happy holiday wishes. I really enjoyed my walk with my DS8. he is such a sweetie. I hope all is okay with your DS. My shoulder is 95% better, and I am glad to be taking a recovery week. I didn't know there is a gas shortage! I am lucky, I only fill up my gas tank once every 3 weeks. Work is a mile from my house! You are rockin' with the chinups!!:) Doing them everyday seems to be working for you. I seem to have DOMs in my biceps when I do them, so I need a day off inbetween. This week I am only going to do them 2X. Great job with the weight loss and the loss of inches!:D

Today I slept late!! And now I'm off to do Timesaver #2, subbing the elliptical for the cardio. I am also going to do my 10 assisted pullups.

Gin~ How was the workout for you today? did you try the perfect pushups?

Today was Timesaver#3 (SJP step, biceps and KPC abs) then I did Classical Stretch. Well, I did 25 min. of CS and I"ll have to finish the rest this aft.

Deanie~I haven't tried the Perfect Pushups yet, maybe tomorrow. Do you like other types of cardio more than step? Just curious. Are you having the brisket tonight? Hey..aren't you a vegetarian? Happy New Year!

Marcy~WTG with the weight and inches lost! I barely saw any of DWTS. It is tough for me to watch much tv when my time seems so limited....AHHHH!:( Who was good and who should go?

Gin~ Great workout today. I thought we were on the same schedule. did you double up? I'm not really all that keen on any cardio ;) (although lately I have enjoyed the TM and the elliptical, but I think that's more due to enjoying the music on my ipod;)) I just didn't want to do the step 3 days in a row with the timesavers. I am not having the brisket, I am vegetarian, but DH and older DS like it, and it is a traditional holiday meal.... Thanks for the New year wishes!!

Good Afternoon!

I've been real busy at work today which is why I'm posting so late. Got up a little late again this morning so I didn't do kickboxing. Wound up doing Rob Glick's Hi Lo Fusion which was a perfect workout at 43 minutes (all I had time for). Dancy and fast-paced and just enough to break a sweat. Also did 2 chinups this morning.

Did 2 pullups and 3 1/2 chinups last night.

Deanie/Gin - Thanks for your good wishes on my results. Finally I found a rotation that works for me.

Deanie - I hope you're having something yummy to eat as well for the holiday. Glad your shoulder is better.

Gin - The same 3 are still my favorites on DWTS - Brooke, Toni and Lance. Susan was pretty good too although she still needs to loosen up a bit more. I had to rush through it last night. Didn't care for Misty or Warren this week. I think Cloris needs to go tonight.

Hi Again!

I was so tired at school today that when I was reading a book to the class I started laughing until I was crying and I had to hide behind the book.:p You always know when I am tired, I start to laugh uncontrollably until I have tears running down my cheeks! I guess I need to go to bed earlier than 10!

Deanie~I am not doubling up, I just decided to do the Timesaver out of order. Tomorrow will be #5 (legs) and SM. I am trying to add some stretching also. Step is my favorite form of cardio (I'm sure you already knew that), but I still mess up plenty!:eek: What else do you make with the brisket?

Marcy~How is everything with your ds? Is he still living in NY? I did see Susan Lucci dance last night. She does look kind of stiff.

Wednesday Oct 1!!

Good Morning

wow I can't believe its October already :eek:!! I checked out Cathe's october rotation and I like it. I think I may do it next month.

Today is timesaver #3.

Gin~ Get some sleep!!!!;)enjoy #5! you are such a wild woman to go out of order!!:cool: I usually make the cooking easy on me, and just serve steamed broccli, and potatoes (I cook the potatoes in with the brisket) and then we have cut up apples and honey on the table. Very simple.

Marcy ~ Glad you like the rotation. Its almost/close to a freestyle rotation, isn't it? where you work your legs in some way almost everyday? Your back must be looking good with all the chinups you are doing. Mine is sore today from the pullups yesterday.

Today was Timesaver #5 (legs and abs) and then SM#1. Ths Timesaver is a good and short leg workout if you are ever looking for something different. Today is my early day at school and then mtg after.

Deanie~Oh.....you know me, such a "wild" woman. I was LOL at that comment! I'll have to take a peek at Cathe's Oct. rotation. Do you plan to start it next week? Dinner sounds yummy! I do need to sleep more but I don't see it happening anytime soon.:(

Marcy~I completely missed DWTS last night. I was on the phone with my SIL and then my dog ran away and I searched for her for 30 min. driving all over the neighborhood in the dark , drove back home and she was in the garage!:mad:

Gin ~ Glad you found your dog!! funny story (prob. not funny at the time!) I am NOT going to do Cathe's Oct. rotation this month. I am sticking with mine for the month of October. I may do Cathe's next month though, because I do like it! Are you going to do Cathes?
 
Good Afternoon!

Another really busy day today at work. Did Pure Barre today and 3 chins. Was almost going to do a short dance workout but then decided to skip it because I'm tired of rushing around in the morning.

Deanie - I printed out Cathe's Oct. rotation but will have to look at it tonight. I guess I have to have DH take pics of my back again like he did for the X to see if I got more definition. I definitely feel stronger though. I guess my rotation is a bit of freestyle. Squeeze, Pure Barre and kickboxing work the legs as does yoga so it does sound like it. I hope the screamer behaved for you today.

Gin - So glad you found your dog! Hope you get plenty of sleep tonight. Only saw the first 7 mins. of DWTS this morning but I found out Kim was booted off. I can't say I'm surprised, although Cloris should have gone first. I'm glad Rocco got to stay another week. He's not great but I like his personality. DS is still in NY for the moment. He loves it there and doesn't want to leave but he might have no choice.

Good Morning gals

Back to the grind today...Today is Timesaver #4, shoulders. Tonight is back to school night for my school, music lessons and soccer for DS 8 and softball practice for DS12. A Very busy day for me!!!:eek:

Gin ~ I hope you got some sleep last night. Also, in case you didn't read it, I am NOT doing Cathe's Oct. rotation this month, sticking with mine, but I am 90% sure I'll do Cathe's in Nov.:)

Marcy ~ I hope your not so busy at work today. No screamer yesterday, it was the second day of Rosh hashana, so no school! Actually, with all the Jewish holidays this month, there is no school for me on Wednesdays - except Oct. 29th!!!! Very happy!:)

Good Morning!

Just finished Timesaver #4 (the one with KPC and shoulders) and then tacked on Classical Stretch. I am trying to do CS 2-3 times a week.
The K teacher I teach with has started to go to a trainer twice a week. She is trying to lose some weight and she said I am her inspiration as far as exercise goes. That is sweet. I always am curious to hear what she has been doing with the trainer.

Deanie~I did see that you will stick with your original plan and then do Cathe's Oct rotation in Nov. I will do the same. Her rotation looked like something you would like....heavy weights and not too much cardio!:p Hooray to the 2 days of work this week! Yeah to the no screamer Wednesday! No, have not been getting more sleep.:( Enjoy your busy day.

Marcy~Sounds like you have been doing a great overall body workout. I think I can watch DWTS on the internet. Not sure when though.

Good Afternoon Ladies!

Another busy day at work but looks like things are starting to slow down. Today I did PY4H (Full Happiness - 80 mins.) Can't wait to get PY4H2. My new workouts should be coming on Sat. Did pretty well with arm balances but was flopping all over the place in Dancer's Pose (pretty ironic with all my dance training!) Also did 1 pullup and 1 3/4 chins.

Deanie - I might consider doing Cathe's Oct. rotation next month. It looks pretty good. I think it might work for me. YAY to no screamer!

Gin - Please do tell if you hear any tidbits from the teacher's trainer. It's nice you have someone at work to talk about fitness. You can see DTWS on the internet. My friend used to do it all the time. I wonder what dances they're doing next week. Seems like you're really enjoying Classical Stretch.

Today is Timesaver #5, legs and I'll be doing 10 asst. pullups. I'm very tired, stayed up late watching the debate, and then DH and I were up talking about it.

Gin ~ What timesaver did you do today? that's so nice you are your teachers inspiration!!!

Good Morning!

Today I ran and didn't get the Timesaver#2 in.:( Not sure if I'll have the energy to do it this aft. I came home yesterday with a bad sore throat and achy feeling. It was tough to get out of bed today. BLAHH!
Tonight we have a birthday dinner to go to for a good friend. I had ordered KickMax form Advanced Workouts for her b-day and it has not come yet,,so I need to go to plan B! Tomorrow morning I am walking/running with one of my former marathon friends and then DH and I need to do CleanMax! DS21 will be here next week and bringing some friends to stay. We will have several over for dinner.:eek:

Deanie~I completely missed the debate. I'll have to read about it in the paper. Hope you are able to get some sleep this weekend!:) I also plan to start the rotation Sunday. I don't have CTX though.

Marcy~I hope you are doing the same rotation with us also. The only thing the K teacher has said that she has done with the trainer is some type of drills with boxing gloves. I think the workout thing is fairly new to her and she has some weight to lose. She goes to him twice a week. I'm sure it is $$$.
