I have to wonder....

Who is Christina Aguilera? Seriously, I don't know who she is. I'm so out of the loop--lol! Jesus I know!

I figured she must have used Xmas instead of Christmas but is this on an album, a song, or did she say it. Just wondering!!!

SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so LMAO here.........

And I don't care, I am still typing Xmas for X's sake!

It's none of those things. I just find it interesting that people shorten Christmas to Xmas, which is effectively shortening Christ to X.

Shelley, you have a little typo here that is actually quite appropriate --Xmax. Yes, there's an effort to take the "Christ" out of Christmas and turn it into a big, fat X to the max!!;) :-(

Ooops, double post, I was so excited at the thought of Cathe in a little Santa hat, doling out bags of torture to all of the naughty little Catheites. ;-)

ROTFLMAO!!

Nope. Apparently it's the Greeks.

"This abbreviation for Christmas is of Greek origin. The word for Christ in Greek is Xristos."

I think the effort has become to turn it into $max...

You're right Shelley, it comes from the Greek alphabet and people have been using it for over 1,000 years.

You know what they say, "The Greeks shall inherit the Earth."
