I have to confess

I had to confess to somebody and I knew you ladies would be the only ones who would really understand. I'm a graduate student, so by definition-poor, and eventhough I had better uses for the money I just preordered the Hardcore 10 pack. I'm trying to justify it, but the truth is I started Cathe in July (off of Fittv and I'm so frustrated with all that they cut out that I just couldn't face getting only "half" of the new series)and I'm now addicted! Oh what will become of me? I guess it could be worse, except now I have to buy a DVD player too! LOL!

As confessions go, this one is ENTIRELY understandable...don't you beat yourself up, you just march right out there & find that perfect DVD player! ;-)

Seriously...what better use for your money could you have than your health & fitness? Ha!

I totally agree with Ruth. But trust me I understand. My husband and I both just finished grad school and I just HAD to have the entire Hardcore series, the Intensity Series and the Body Blast series and I have covered my anniversary, birthday and Christmas. So if I were you consider it an early Christmas gift and when people ask what you want just tell them you would like cash (to help pay for it all)! And trust me, we all understand! :)

Also, whatever you do-do NOT buy a cheap DVD player. I did and I had a terrible time playing any of the premixes. So make sure you check and make sure whatever brand you buy will work with "layered" DVD's. If possible take a Cathe DVD with you when you go so you can be sure you're buying the right one.

Hope this helps, Wendy

I think that any investment that makes you healthier and more fit is a wise investment! Good for you! :7 Lately as I look around me, I would love to burn several copies of all my Cathe dvd's and hand them out to all the overweight unhealthy moms at my children's school. If SNM reads this, I am truly kidding about the burning thing. Just venting!:7

Thank you all for your support and advice, my husband is the one who pushed me to buy them in the first place, and it is cheaper than a gym membership. I'll have to see if I can get some contributions---Do you think we'll have Hardcore in time for Christmas?
I hadn't really thought about finding a DVD player capable of playing "layered" DVD's, thanks for the head's up Wendy. I also have to make sure that it will connect with our older TV! And Fab40, I know what you mean, I spread the word to anyone who will listen, but they have to try it to believe it. :D

You made the right choice. I'm a college student too and I made the same choice back when the presale first started. I can't wait to get them!!

I understand you.Now I have a job and can pay the dvd.Two years ago I was studying for be a public official i am now.In that time I only have 20 euros once a week that my parents gave me.How can you buy the dvd with that money? If I would discover cathe then I would have to save all the money but I would not quit to buy the cathe dvd.If you preorder you are saving money too.Look this like a healthy investment. All the effort to pay the dvd will be forgotten when the UPS man knock to your door and give you the hardcore.

ditto what everyone else said.

As a former grad student, I understand the stress of going to school.. imho, you need to have some sort of fitness routine that you enjoy in order to survive. Additionally - I think that the videos are less time consuming than getting yourself to a gym, working out, getting yourself home...saves you precious time you need for school! Think of it as an investment in your health.

As for the dvd player, sooner or later, you'd have to buy one anyway. Videos are dissappearing while dvd's are taking over. Definitely invest a little money into the dvd player as mentioned. I've had decent luck with Sony but I'm certain there are other good dependable brands too.

best wishes,
kelli

Confession is good for the soul.

Also, remember that when you have a good solid exercise program, you think better. Exercise is crucial to mental acuity as well as physical well being - as if you could separate the two.

Re DVD players, consider going a little further and getting a 5-disc or 6-disc player. They're unbelievably reasonable price-wise, and they are just awesome for your mix-n-match desires. Sony is a good brand for Cathe DVDs.
