I have an available 5th Element top

TarHeelMom

Cathlete
Hi folks --

I have an extra 5th Element top, style 1Z1 (apple green/navy/white) like Cathe is wearing in the new series, size M. I like the fit of the size Large better although I would say the M runs almost true to size. It just feels a little skimpy to me in my upper back because of its racer back cut. I'm pretty broad-shouldered and I HATE things feeling skimpy (I always get my jackets a size larger than the saleswoman thinks I should for the same reason.)

Since shipping from the UK takes a while I thought I'd see if any of you were interested before I return this to 5th Element.

Let me know by e-mail and I'll give you the details on cost.

Thanks!

RE: Thanks everybody -- it's gone

Darn- I was hoping it was size Large. I take M on most tops but I probably need L in 5th Element (their M's are too tight around my ribs). Their high impact support is very secure!

RE: Thanks everybody -- it's gone

I agree - I just recently ordered a bunch of mediums, and they are VERY snug. I can still use them, but just barely. And it isn't worth it to return them. Next time I'll order large.

If there is a next time. Don't order if you live in Canada - I ordered 5 things and it cost me $169 Cdn plus about $20 in shipping and then customs and taxes cost me $60 !!!!!! I almost choked!

It looked like a good deal when I ordered it....until the government took their cut.

Pitbull too!

Just a heads-up that Pitbull tops AND bottoms run small too. I normally wear a small or med. in tops, ordered a large and it is SMALL! Wish I had gone for XL! I ordered L in a pair of shorts and they are too tight. (Usually wear Med. in shorts.) Just wanted you to know.

Hey Deb and Connie -- Gotta vent!!!

Pitbull runs that small? Oh GREAT!! x( x(

Until this very season I had NEVER done fitness wear mail order -- I just find cute stuff at Niketown on sale or at Sports Authority. But all of a sudden I was bitten by this bug and just HAD to have some of Cathe's cute stuff. It has been a VERY frustrating experience!!!

I'm a Medium top and bottom in Nike, Everlast, Danskin, Marika, Adidas, Head, Reebok ... you get the picture. Sometimes in a fabric like Dri-Fit (which runs kinda roomy) or in a low-rise waist I can wear the S bottoms. And that makes sense -- I'm a 6 on the bottom and a 6/8 on the top in regular clothes, and not really too bosomy. I still own a few S tops from a long time ago, but I've graduated to feeling more comfy in a M since I've built up some nice lat and shoulder development (I can feel it-- I know it's under there somewhere!!;-)), so now I need a little extra room for comfort through the ribcage and upper back (like you Connie, it seems.)

So Deb, guess what size I ordered in a Pitbull top which should be here today or Monday?? And I did look pretty carefully at their sizing chart and I am square in the middle of Medium!!! Sigh!!!x(

I have now had the same experience with BlueFish bra tops, actually. I sent back the cute black & yellow one that Cathe's wearing in the new series -- got it originally in M and asked for the L. It arrived yesterday and I swear it's not a hair bigger. I put it on and it felt like I'd done an athletic wrap on my ribs and ta-tas!!! So I called the ever-helpful Fabiana at BlueFish and she said send it back again, they'll refund my money. But heck, I'm now out a ton of shipping charges, and I could not find ANYTHING else on their site that I wanted to gamble on. I did get the longer BlueFish top that Cedie's wearing (square-necked tank with a thin stripe just under the breast and piping on the straps) in a L, and thought it fit wonderfully and kept it, and now have worn it this morning to work out. But to be honest I don't love it as much now that I've worked out in it. The straps wouldn't stay on my shoulders and the piping honestly hits me sort of smack across the bosom, not particularly comfortable. I don't think I'll order from them again despite how nice they've been -- I don't find their website very helpful (no front & back shots, models turned at weird angles so you can't really see the clothes, no website ordering, NO SHORTS).

And then there's Hotskins, which I'm now just plain afraid to try because everybody says their stuff runs very small. Heck, I'd probably need an XXL in those precious flare pants, and then they'd be a foot too long. And who want to have to HEM workout pants??

[PAUSING TO COUNT TO TEN...] Okay girls, I'm all better now!!!:+ :+

RE: Pitbull too!

Funny, I didn't find the pitbull stuff ran small. I ordered a bunch of stuff in medium and it all fit me perfectly. I guess it must depend on what you order.

RE: Pitbull too!

I bought size L from Pitbull and they fit great! I don't think they carry XL, at least not in the tops I bought. I am ionly 5'3" so I spent today hemming the pants I bought. Lisa

I have a good home for your new top. Have you sold it?
