I hate shopping for pants!!! ARRGH!

Oh, now, the bra shopping, THAT I can relate to! How is it that there are no actual standards in the production of these things? How is it that some brands turn me into a torpedo woman while others look fine? I don't get it, I just don't get it....

Maybe we should form a lobby.... the brassiere brigade.

I agree with the pants and the bra issues also!!! My problem though is I have a smaller waist but my hips and thighs are a problem they aren't big they just are when it comes to pants! I have found that ordering them from Victorias secret the ones that are relaxed fit work well for me. I have 2 pair of jeans and a pair of dress pants.
Now about the bras thats a whole other issue! Garilee

There lies my original suggestion, when you find something that works, that is flattering, get several. I see far too many frumpy people at my teaching conventions that have obviously no clue, which is easy to do in nursing.

I'm not alone!!! I just had to go buy two suits for job interviews. The first one fits in the hips, but the waist is at least an inch too big! I thought maybe it was just the cut of the suit, but every pair of pants I tried on today was like that.

Also, when you go shopping, not only should you avoid being excited, etc., but NEVER utter the words "Don't worry honey-- I won't spend much".... jinxed myself big time today

Despite my figure woes or complaints of how they make/size clothing these days, I really do LOVE to shop for clothes..heck, I LOVE to shop for almost ANYTHING! }(

Feeling your pain, Kathryn!!! I, too, used to HATE shopping for pants. I have small waist, but decent sized quads and it was a nightmare. I have had luck with Victoria's Secret as well. I make sure to measure myself before I order, and have been really pleased!!

And when I find something that fits, I order every color (in pants) and just try to pair them with a lot of different style tops for variety.

I'm 5'10 with long legs. Gap is the only place I have found that routinely carries talls. Otherwise I have to order online. I'll usually go into the store and try on several sizes to see what fits, then order on line. It's awful!
