I Hate Cardio Check-in, March 15, 06

Okay...I was supposed to do cardio today...but I blew it off. PMS.

I think I will now go raid the refrigerator instead.

Oh, by all means, PMS is DEFINITELY worthy of an excused absence. I hope you have some pretzels and chocolate!

I found the pretzels:) but darn it, DH must have eaten all the chocolate cookies. Gawd, I can't buy any cookies without him eating them in 2 days. Next time I am going to have to hide a stash for monthly occasions. Now, how the heck is a woman officially supposed to PMS without chocolate cookies? It's a good thing he is off on a business trip or there would be h-ll to pay}( }(

Ok I suffered through the cardio. I jumped rope for a warm up and then up and down our stairs for about 5 minutes (whew!!!), more jump rope and then I did 100 walking lunges! The last time I attempted walking lunges (this past fall), I could barely do 50! I feel pretty good! I don't know if it counts as cardio, but I was breathing pretty good by the end, and ended with a stretch.
done for the day.

Jenn, you are awesome! I bow to your greatness. Jump rope as a warm up!? My customary warm up is marching in place and a few plie squats. I'd say the walking lunges, coupled with jumping rope and running up and down the stairs, definitely counts as a cardio work out. You go girl!!

Thanks, Michele! I have to say, though, that I do truly hate cardio...DD talked me into the jump rope. She is learning how to jump, and she jumps with me with a larger rope. It is a good thing for both of us. She motivates me and I help her learn the timing of jumping.
