I Hate Cardio Check-In, 4/18

I wanted to get this started for y'all but I have to run. I have to leave in about 1 sec to take my darlin' DH to work today. His car is in the shop and I hope to he!! it doesn't need 2 grand worth of reapirs--LOL! I did my workout yesterday and had a hard time getting through it. I kept tripping and was more winded than usual...probably from all the crap I ate over Easter. This is my day off and I'll probably take it because I'll need to pick up my hubby, too. He works in another town and it's a bit of a drive. *SIGH*

Michele you enjoy your day off! I'll keep my fingers crossed for your DH that nothing major is wrong with his car. How did you make out with getting your A/C repaired?

I'm back to work today so I'll be back to checking in. When I am at home I very rarely turn on the computer.

I also ate way too much junk Sunday and Monday so today I"m back on track. I've decided to not even step on the scale for quite some time. Actually, I think my next weigh in will be on May 1st. I weighed myself on Thursday morning and I was down another pound (which I"m sure I gained back). My clothes are getting loser so I"m happy about that.

I'm in for a very busy week so not sure how much cardio or weights for that matter I'll get in this week. Tonight I should have time to workout. Tomorrow is soccer and then I have to bake cookies for Gabe to take to daycare on Thursday. His b-day is on Thursday and he asked if he could take choc chip cookies instead of cake. Then on Thursday night I am having a cake for him.

Today will be my usual walk and I'm thinking that I'm going to do KPC tonight.

Last week I bought a bike rack for my car so I am eagerly waiting for Gabe to get his cast off on the 25th so we can try out the bike trail the weekend of the 29th.

I haven't checked in for days so what did I miss?

Good morning haters,

Well I am here hobbling around with this knee pain...uhhh..I am over it. To top things I got a pedi on Fri and I think they poked at my toe too much and then I tripped over the thingy on the back door so now it is killing me. I think my shoe rubbed on it too hard yesterday too. I am a fregging klutz I swear. I am in all kinds of pain. Can't put my shoe on with out the toe hurting. Got to figure something out....think it just might be PUB today. I have to go and check out a day care at 10 so I am off in a second to the shower.

Michele~ don't worry it will get better. All the food can slow you down really bad. I swear when I eat really bad and then work out the next day it's not the same. My energy is less and it is harder to breath. I ate so bad on Friday and then on Sat when I was doing KPC I was just my usual self. It sucked....but, good news is you will start to feel better in about 1 or 2 days if you keep it clean and get all the yucky out.

Dana~ glad you are back, we thought you ran off with Ellen's pool boy..hehehe...ummmm cookies...ummmm...yummyyyyyyy....getting the bike out will be a lot of fun. I miss my bike. It is growing dust in our garage. We decided we would take turns and go in the evening. Have fun with that and you have your little man to go with you, oh how fun!

Dmoney~ did you make the run last night? Man what is up with this heat already...I swear I am moving to Alaska for the summer. Do not like the heat and humidity. Can't believe it's already here...what happend to spring...oh yeah I forgot we had it for winter. i don't think we even turned on our heater this year! Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. Hello summer...uhhhh....

August~ did you make it through cardio yet?

Jana good luck with the daycare meeting this am. Hope that they have what you are looking for.

Also wanted to ask you if you've checked out those "trailer" thingies that you can attach to the back of your bike for DD to ride it? Kind of resembles a jogging stroller but you attach it to your back wheel and you pull it behind. I saw them at Wal-Mart for about $70. I wanted to get one but I don't think it will fit in the trunk of my car. Just a thought since you said you miss riding.
 
Hey Dana- We looked at them the expensive ones vs. the not so expensive ones and we asked around. All the instructions we read said they had to be at least 1 year before we could pull the kiddo in it.
DD is only 5 months =( so we have a few more months before she can ride in the. I really want one of those things!
 
Oh I didn't know that they had to be one. Oops! Gannon is only 6 months so it wouldn't work for me either. I could never have one of those seats that you put on the back though - I know I would crash. LOL
 
You are too funny...I was thinking the same thing about those things on the back of the bikes. It makes me think about when you look back to when you were a kid and parents were like crazy, just throw you in the back of the wagon no seat belt nothing and roll around, all the crazy stuff our parents did! haha!
 
Hi Ladies - Today has been another crazy day so far, just now got a chance to get on the computer. I was in a meeting from 8:30 to 2 pm, had lunch at my desk, and have been trying to get something finished and now it is already 4 pm. It is going to be another late night. Last night I did my run at the gym at 8 pm. I was starving and should have just gone home, but just needed to feel like I sweat off some of that Easter candy. Then I had to go home and work some more.

Tonight I am planning a 45 min cardio medley at the gym on different cardio machines. Might end up being more like 20-30 min, depending on what time I get out of here. Blah, can't wait for this week to be over, and it is only Tuesday.

Yes, I did do my Powerstrike cardio...and posted it on the old hate check-in. x( Kinda makes me feel like I didn't officially do it! :eek: ;-)

To sum it up, I pushed my way through the whole dang thing but I was sleepy and sort of feeling lathargic from my stretch week, so it was quite pitiful. I didn't think I'd make it through the warmup...I'd have to say it looked more like I was having a hissifit than doing kickboxing. But at least I did it, right? ;( :7

You guys all sound like you're off to a good week.

Say, just curious. so if you HATE cardio,...what is it that you LOVE?

Right now I've got to say I LOVE weight-lifting and am really enjoying the S&H. (And don't you guys dare go into donuts and cookies }( )
 
I love strength but hate cardio i usaully put something out like my back or knee doing cardio and have to fix it with strength .
