I Hate Cardio Check-IN, 3/30

Good morning haters!

I've been banned from my in-laws house today! I got home really late last night and I was dead dog tired when I came through the door. I think I have them squared away for now but I need to go out, per my MIL's request, and find a couple of birthday presents for my FIL who turns 78 today.

I must do cardio today because I haven't done it since Saturday. I'm actually looking forward to it but I won't admit that to anyone but you guys--LOL!

Dana, how'd you fair yesterday? How's Gabe? I don't know how you mom's do it, really I don't!

Jana, as I type this I realize you may not have a computer today, but I hope your move went well. I'm sure running around, unpacking boxes, and setting up a house definitely counts as cardio.

Diane, did you make it to the gym last night? I'm glad you finished that big project. It must be a relief to have it out of the way. I know what you mean about not being able to complete a work out if you're underhydrated. I am always sucking on a bottle of water.

Toasty, I was so glad to see you checked in yesterday! I've missed you! What's up for you today?

Ellen, hows our little biatchy girl today?--LOL! You have such a lovely, smiling face in your avatar that I have a hard time imagining you as anything but sweet.

You guys, thanks for propping me up these past few days. It helped more than you know.

Hey Michele and other fellow haters!

Well today I was going to run, and I still might. Gonna do KPC and then Legs and Glutes. When I get towards the end of KPC, I am all revved up so I might just run out the door when I am finished with KPC since my heart rate will still be up. Then onto Legs and Glutes. I also have to weed out my driveway. I just can't stand looking at it.

Good morning all you haters!!! I'm going to get out for a walk today. I need it! I didn't get anything done last night - I've been going crazy at home - I need more time but the only option I have is getting up at 4:00, I"ve tried and I can't do it. Oh if I had a Merry Maid I'd be set. LOL

Michele you are an angel! Your inlaws are blessed to have such a great DIL. Hope you find some time to get in the dreaded cardio.

Jana - hope the move went smoothly!

Diane - do you have a run scheduled today?

Charlotte - I'm afraid to ask what you're gonna do today. }(

Ellen - what's up for you today???

Dana, getting up at 4 AM would NOT qualify you for a cardio haters check-in--LOL! I will not permit you to do that, for crying out loud:eek: :D.

Michele you twisted my arm, I will not get up at 4:00. Besides, I would then be kicked out the cardio-haters. You are the pres of our club ya know!
 
I can see Ellen is having a bad day---she posted on the wrong day--LOL!

Ellen, please feel free to unburden yourself. We're here for you if and when you need the props;). They say cardio helps your mood...endorphins or some such thing. So, do the cardio and report back here to let us know if there's any truth to this endorphin story.:D

Reposting on the correct day. I was just too lazy to scroll down far enough!

Hi Everyone - I was supposed to wake up this morning and do PUB, but I overslept, as usual. I am just getting to bed too late. I can't go to bed at midnight and expect to jump out of bed at 6 am. Especially when I am the type of person that needs 8-9 hrs of sleep. So I am either going to go during lunch or after work and work my upper body at the gym. So no cardio today for me.

Yesterday I did my 30 min run/walk after work at the gym and I felt terrible. Could barely make it through. Yuck.

Michele - Thanks for directing me to the correct spot. Glad to see you get a little bit of a break today. Shame on you for looking forward to cardio! Just kidding.

Charlotte - What a workout today! I wish I could do two workouts a day! I have Legs & Glutes scheduled for Friday, I love that workout.

Dana - How in the world do you wake up at 4 am? I can't even wake up at 6!

Jana - At least the weather is cooperating today. How is the moving going?

Ellen - I hope your day gets better. Don't worry, you can burden us if you need to go. Better not to deal alone.

Good for you for sticking it out yesterday despite your yucky feelings! You inspire me. I think you have a grueling schedule and I couldn't jump out of bed to work out at 6 AM even if I did get to bed early.:eek:

O.k, girls! I am on the right check in now?;) :7 I just finished KPC. No running today. Just don't have time since I am making tons of food for later and got to get all prettied up! You should all see me now. Funny sight..hair everywhere and sweaty. My dog Stinky is getting on my nerves...just randomly barking as I have all my windows open. It is warm here now. Slightest sound sets her off. She is so random. LOL!

Yes that is right I made it. Move was well heck it was a move what can I say. 5.25 hours to move from old house with a stop to drag stuff out of storage (I just found out why I am on Oprah's debt diet, found about 25k worth of clothes, shoes, purses, junk etc in storage) and the to unload all the stuff at new house (that includes drive time). Not bad, had fab movers and yes I ended up unpacking all 32 boxes by myself yesterday. I have just invented a new workout, better than anything you could ever imagine..it's called the moving workout.
I almost could not make it up the stairs by 10:30 last night...uuuhhhh....still feeling the pain now.

Anyway- Michele-How is MIL, FIL and DH? MIL still doing good? How are you doing as well with all of this? Hopefully you are doing ok. Sending you goooooooooooodddddddd vibes. How is the cardio? Don't let cardio and weights freak you out, you will learn the steps. It will take a few times, but you will get it down and dare I say it's actually...fun....it really is.

Diane-What a lovely day yesterday. We were lucky and it did not rain on us at all. Ahhh the burbs. Turned on the stove this morning and a very large gas smell was all over the house, had to call Centerpoint to come out and they tagged my stove and turn off the gas to the stove until we get it fixed. How did you like that? Buy a 4 year old house and get your gas turned off at your stove. Oh, well at least no gas leake right?

Dana- How's is going today? Lunch walk?

Ok homies, I am out for now. Got to go run and clean old house, oh yeah fun. It's my cardio and weights workout for today.

Just got back from my walk and it is beautiful outside. I think I've got some sort of stomach bug b/c my tummy hurts so bad along with other symptoms. Was planning on doing PUB tonight but if I feel like this, I"m going to bed!

Ok..posting on the wrong day...I'm a mess! Thanks for keeping me sane!!

I'm planning either HS Circuit again or Imax2 (first time) in the next hour or so.

I've had my house on the market for more than 90 days and it's unbelievebly stressful to keep having it look perfect for showings. Long story, but my fiancee and I bought the house together 2 years ago and since then, for various reasons have decided to split. So, selling the house is a must before that can happen, since we both have a lot of money invested. I'm a single mom to 2 wonderful teenage girls and it's been quite stressful living under the same roof knowing we are splitting up, raising kids, waiting for house to sell, still looking for another smaller house for just us, and keeping up with my exercise.

Thanks for listening!!! It's nice to have people who you can vent to.

Hoping some cardio gives me some endorphins! :)
 
Hi Ellen - So sorry you are having to go through this right now. It sounds like a tough time. But this too shall pass. Soon you will have a new place. We are always here for you to vent to.

I went to the gym during lunch and did a full body weight workout. I was only supposed to do upper body, but decided to throw in some lower body too. I never feel like I worked as hard when I am not doing weights with Cathe, but it is definitely better than skipping my workout! I'm sure it is also good to mix things up and not do the same thing all the time. I have been doing the BBM leg workout the past few times I have been at the gym (though not 5 times a week) and so far so good. I was pretty sore after the first time, I think because the step up platform at the gym is 18 inches instead of the 14 inch one I have at home. Much harder!!
