I Hate Cardio Check-In 3/28

Good morning ladies;

It is the crack of dawn here in my neck of the woods and most of you guys are more than likely not awake yet, but I wanted to wish everyone a good day today!

Michele-hope you don't mind me starting this today. Hope your MIL, FIL and DH are still doing good. MIL comes home today? I also hope you are doing ok with all of this, I know your stress level is high and you are tired. Hang in there! What's on the schedule today? Time for cardio? Still doing HST? Have you ever tried cardio and weights. Personally I love that one. I have fun with it, if you get bored might want to try it.

Diane-is it like total yuck out there or what?? Where is the sunshine?
I hope you remember your make-up today...I am still feeling your pain from that one! :p
How is the running this week? You are doing awesome so far, give me a few weeks again to get back on the running horse and maybe we can be weekend running buddies at Memorial park. Gives me an excuse to go and see my mom!

Dana-Hope Gabe is doing great and the cast was able to come off yesterday! Oh little boys, they are so cute. I have put in a request so that mommy kisses can heal all boo boo's and no need for doctors! That would be a wonderful thing right! You are doing great with your weight loss! I am still fighting with the last few baby lbs and I know it can be a little hard to loose them. Hopefully you will have a beautiful day outside today and get to walk during lunch.

Ok ladies, if I forgot anyone I am sorry. I am off for the big move today. YUCK!!!! I have already pull a leg muscle so now I can hardly walk, oh yeah fun. I will have no internet until hopefully tomorrow so everyone have a fantastic, wonderful, fab, great day!
 
Good morning haters. Jana has all that cardio turned your brain to mush? Today is the 29th not the 28th.:*

I didn't get in anything last night. I hate when I have nights like that. I popped in the Stepblast/SJP DVD and was planning on doing the step/hi-lo premix from SJP. I got through the warm up, 1st step, 1st hi-lo and the 2nd step and at that point Gannon was so miserable that I had to stop. My DH is NO help at all with the kids
so I gave up for the night.

Gabe had to have another cast put on yesterday. They took off his old cast and he had to go for x-rays. Then we had to wait for the dr to come and talk to us. He was bending his arm and hitting me with it, etc. so I thought it was all healed. The dr said that it is "pretty much" healed but with how active he is, he felt it was in our best interest to recast it for another 4 weeks as a precaution. Gabe was hysterical - he gets himself all worked up when it is time to have the cast taken off. He is terrified of the saw. I told the dr that he was supposed to start soccer on Monday and the dr said he can play with the cast on. I wonder if the coach will allow that?

Also wanted to give you guys the review on that Core Secrets DVD my co-worked lent me. It is AWFUL!!!! It is the beginner of all beginner workouts. It was only 20 minutes long - it felt like we were still warming up and it was done. She asked me how I liked it and I said don't be offended but I hated it. She thinks it is great.

Michele - hope everything calms down for you soon and that your MIL is better. You are such a great DIL but you need to take care of yourself too! Don't forget that.

Diane - I"m impressed with your running. Keep up the good work.

Good morning everyone!

I've got a big day lined up today. My MIL will be discharged this morning and my FIL would like me to be there in about an hour. He's so anxious to have her home---it's cute! I finally got some decent sleep last night and boy, I really needed it. My butt was dragging yesterday. Anyway, I'm going to get my MIL settled in at home then I'm off to the grocery store. I'll be preparing their meals for the time being (my FIL needs help, too. He's a bit unsteady on his feet and gets physical therapy and I think my poor MIL has been really worried about him). I'll be home for awhile this afternoon and will try to get cardio in but I'm not making promises.

Jana, I'm so glad you started this thread (please, whoever gets here first should go ahead and post). Good luck with your move! I hope everything goes really smoothly for you. I'll take a peek at C&W. I don't have it but I'll view a clip. I'm warning you, though, I'm not as advanced cardio wise as you gals. Although, I could probably kick serious butt with the strength portion!

Dana, I'm so sorry Gabe needed another cast. I'm sure he was looking forward to his freedom. I can understand why the saw would be scary to a kid. He!!, it would scare me, too! I hope you have better luck getting your cardio in today. I agree with you about Core Secrets. I think it's really boring and not all that challenging. I've thought about getting rid of mine but I think I'll hang onto them for now and use them once in awhile when I want a change of pace.

Diane, Ellen, Toasty (where are you?), and anyone else I may have missed, good luck with whatever your plans are today. I'll try to check back later on.

Thanks again for being my cheerleaders, girls. YOur well wishes have really been a great boost for me!

I have been so out of it lately...I just haven't wanted to do anything lately (so very unlike me). I've been in a major slump for about 10 days, I can't pinpoint why and I haven't been able to shake it. What is up with that??? I'm really going to try to commit to doing Step Blast today simply because it is my favorite cardio. It might give me that extra push to zap me out of my week of "I don't want to do squat." This "I hate cardio" check in is so perfect for me right now....thanks Michele for starting it and thanks guys for continuing it;)

Michele, I really pray all goes well with your MIL...my heart is with you.

As for now, I'm off to attempt SB....wish me luck. I think the hardest part is the first step.

I just wanted to pop in for a second and say hi. I have a very busy day at work today so probably can't check in as much as usual today. I was working late last night so did not even try to get up early to run today. I brought my gym bag and will try and do my run/walk after work today.

There is a thick fog over downtown right now - I literally can't see out the window in my office, and I am only on the 28th floor! Depressing.
 
I'm doing the happy dance...:) :) :) I completed Step Blast. I even did Turbo Jam Abs....just maybe I'm coming out of my funk....I hope.

Nice to see you, Robin! I'm glad our little check-in helped you get through your cardio. I have to tell you, I've never been more consistent since I've started this check-in.

Diane, I hope you get time for your work out. I think it's great that you have a gym in your building, but I also know how hard it can be to motivate yourself when you work long hours. And geez, I hope Jana doesn't have problems with her move because of the fog.

I have a very bad headache:-(. I'm home for just a brief period, then I need to head out again and get the shopping done and make dinner. My in-laws actually live in another town about 30 minutes from me so it's a bit of a drive to get back and forth. I'll be glad once this day is over. I'll try to work my cardio in after I get home this evening.

Hi Robin - didn't know you were a closet hater - well, maybe just for today.

Jana - I hope you made it okay out there on the road. The weather is crazy today. There was apparently a lightning strike downtown somewhere and our building was running on back up generators!

Michele - take some asprin (or tylenol or whatever you prefer) and get some rest!

I finally finished this project that had me feverishly typing at my computer all night last night and all day today. It is such a relief when stuff like that is finished.

It looks like I won't be staying late tonight (early is 6:30 pm to me!) so I should be able to do my run/walk at the gym. I unfortunately spent all day working and haven't been keeping myself hydrated or eating enough, so my workout will probably suffer. I am chugging water and eating a zone bar right now to try and compensate. I will probably just be too full to run!

No, I am not in love with cardio as of yet, but I feel a storm brewing, am I sick or what???? LOL! I worked out arms today so that just about sucks all the energy out of me for anything else, but I know I got to still do more for legs so I settled for 1 set of BBM's w/weights, jumped some hurdles and jumped off stepper into squat position. Got my hr up some, but should have ran today if I had the time. I know, no excuse. Tomorrow is a new day and yes, cardio is on the list!!!

Been thinking about you and your situation with your MIL. In my thoughts and prayers, girl! You are really super to be there for her. I am sure she appreciates you very much.

You turning into a cardio maniac or something? It will be my turn to run tomorrow. Gonna be a sunny day. Weather starts to warm up fast once it gets close to April so I got to get a early start. It actually felt alittle humid today. Nice for a change. Been too dry.

I'm here and have full intentions of doing my cardio today. :)

A lot of life STUFF getting me down, but I will keep cardio going. No need to bore you with my dreary details...

Friends from church have called for making dinners. Hey, I am only making one for tonight. What do I look like? June Cleaver? Sorry, pms'n, but good grief!!!!! My apron is in storage somewhere...can't find it yet! LOL! Hubby calls me and tells me we are going to Maryland now. Nice to know at the last minute. Wants me to make more phone calls to here and there and then no one answers the phone. O.k., I am done venting. Time to take out my frustrations doing KPC!!!!

Hi Everyone - I was supposed to wake up this morning and do PUB, but I overslept, as usual. I am just getting to bed too late. I can't go to bed at midnight and expect to jump out of bed at 6 am. Especially when I am the type of person that needs 8-9 hrs of sleep. So I am either going to go during lunch or after work and work my upper body at the gym. So no cardio today for me.

Yesterday I did my 30 min run/walk after work at the gym and I felt terrible. Could barely make it through. Yuck.
 
Oh man, Cahrlotte, I hate that kind of thing...drives me nuts! Yes, KPC should fit the bill nicely.

Now, Ellen and Toasty and all who follow, you're posting on the wrong date!! Today is Thursday, March 30 and you're posting on the threasd form the 28th. Stress, it does terrible thing s to a body:eek: :7
