I Hate Cardio Check-in 3/14

Good morning and welcome to the "I Hate Cardio" check-in. Don't be fooled by the name, this is a serious check-in for those of us that dread cardio but need to work it into our schedules. If you're someone who hates to do cardio, or feel like you don't belong in the check-ins for all those cardio lovin overachievers, then this is the place for you! If you just can't get through a BLAST to save yourself, then look no further, you don't have to blast your way to good cardio health in here. If all you can manage to get through is a walk around the block then you're probably doing better than me--LOL!

Well, here we go! It will probably kill me, but I plan to do either a 4 or 5 mile Leslie Sansone walking work out today.

Oh my gosh, I HAVE to do Imax 2 today! Somebody save me from the pain!!!!! I am going to do it while I choke on my phelgm again, hanging out the back door gasping for air!!!! If I can do it, then somebody else has to do it with me. I can't imagine suffering alone like this! Then I am going to do Coremax 1 because I didn't get it in yesterday. Coremax is fun though.

I'm LMAO at Charlotte! Yes, I completely understand choking on phlegm and gasping for air. You can do it, Charlotte! And your success will inspire me. I'm not up to doing step, though. I have a painful hip, probably arthritis, and it hurts like the dickens when I do step or too much high impact stuff.

Sorry Charlotte but no IMAX's for me! I do agree with you that Coremax is fun, fun, fun!!! My fave is #3 with the med ball!

Today I'm only walking about 1.5-2miles b/c I also have to go to the bank during my lunch.

I'm going to aim to do 30 min on the elliptical tonight. I did S/H legs last night (w/65lbs for squats and the lunges, yeah for me!!!)and tonight I'll do S/H shoulders. It is so much harder to get in workouts now that I"m back at work and have 2 little ones to take care of in the evenings.

I'm going to do LIS again today to master the moves and get thru 40 minutes straight.

If I can do that I'll be 2 for 2 this week!

I didn't do my scheduled cardio yesterday (big surprise) because I got home too late (7:30) to find that my cat had an "accident" on our carpet and I had to clean that up. By the time I was ready to go, it was 8 pm and I was too hungry to workout and my hubby was begging for food. Therefore, I am doing the 30 min walk/run I planned to do yesterday at lunch today. Today was supposed to be Muscle Endurance, but I will have to do that tomorrow.

The walk/run program I am doing builds up the minutes of running each week, and for this week I am only doing 3 min walking/3 min running, so it is not that hard yet.

Alright, I did my 30 min run/walk during lunch, along with lots of lunges and some core work. It is amazing how hard it is for me to run for 3 minutes! I think it is harder for me to run on a treadmill because it forces me to go faster.

You guys are awesome! I'm getting ready to do my cardio in a little bit. My goal is to start it no later than 3 PM

Not sure if "hate" is the right word to describe my feelings towards cardio, but lately its been that way.

We had to move into my mother-in-laws basement until our house is finished, so I have to put down a RUG over the carpet to do cardio so I dont ruin it........anyways........now when I do cardio - I get tangled up in CARPET! It drives me nuts - so I have been avoiding cardio and its not quite nice enough to get outside and run yet, so I am stuck!!! Grrrrrrrrr


Tonight I am doing Imax 3 for thirty minuts and then Slow and Heavy legs.......I will just have to suck it up and do it!

Ok...since I'm a little bored with LIS (music)...I decided to attempt Step Blast. Ok...so I just did 20 min. The steps are so complicated! I'll try re-doing another 20 minutes tonight.

That will make 40 min for the day.

Well ladies, I just finished Imax 2! Actually like some of the wild moves in there liking jumping sideways and then up on stepper...feel like a little kid when I do those! Awesome! The sweat is dripping off me like I have been thrown into a pool.

I have LowMax lined up for tonight. I will do a weight workout ANY day, but DREAD most cardio. I do enjoy it when it is a brand new workout, but get bored easily. I will probably only do 3-4 intervals of LM. Wish me luck!

Thank you so much Michele! I got married this past October so I guess I am still a newlywed. Cathe was my personal trainer to get me in shape for the wedding. If only we had this check-in before the wedding, because I did not do enough cardio!

It is actually a lot more fun to workout now after the wedding is over because there is not the stress to look "perfect" on my wedding day. By the time the wedding came, I was tired of thinking about how I looked all the time (stressing out about working out all the time, manicures, tanning, teeth whitening, facials etc.) Now I am pale as can be and a couple pounds heavier, but having much more fun working out. My goal is to look even better on our one year anniversary and hopefully finish a couple 5Ks by then, and maybe a 10K.

Well ladies, I finished!!! I did it!!! I got a much later start than I had intended and normally I would've blown it off, but the thought that I had to report to you really made all the difference in the world for me. I'm so thankful to you gals for checking in with me.

I had planned on doing 4 or 5 miles, but i upped the intensity by jogging and using hand weights and was too tired after 3 miles to go on. I got a good work out, though, and it lasted about 40 minutes. I followed that with a Cathe full body stretch.
