I hate cardio, but yet I have no idea what the date is...

WHERE IS EVERYONE???? I have been up since 5:15 and completed my Turbo Jam this morning...come on sleepy heads, let's get up and get some cardio done!!!!

SLACKERS!!!

Michele-no excuses today you are getting your new maching and I expect a full report of at least 40 mins of pure heart pounding cardio.

Ok, BBL to see if you guys got up yet!

Good morning Janjan and all!

Wow! What were you doing up so early? Are you liking Turbo Jam? I have a few TJ DVD's that a lovely, kind soul sent to me and I haven't done them yet but I will give them a try at some point.

Yes, today is the day!!! My elliptical should be here no later than 1:00 this afternoon. I've downloaded one of those Cardio Coach things and I'm ready for a heart thumping cardio workout as soon as that baby is set up:D . I think I could listen to Coach Sean all day, whether or not I was doing cardio. Have any of you ever used CC? You can order CD's or download it in mp3 format. I did the download but I don't have an iPod or anything. I'm going to have to play it on my computer. If I like it I might order the CD's.

So Janjan, what is this job you mentioned yesterday? I want all the details:p

Kate, how did your kids fare on their fisrt day of school? What will you be doing today?

Diane, did you find the diamond? You must be so upset.

I sure miss August around here--and Dana, too!

Okay, I need to get rockin and rollin. I'm still in my jammies:eek:

Michele-
I don't have cardio coach, where do you get them at?

I will admit...I really like Turbo Jam...shhhhh...don't tell on me:eek:      ;-) ;-) ;-)

It is just silly fun and for me a low impact workout to do during the recovery phase of the whole knee thingy. Better than just sitting on the bike..that gets so old after a while.

Are you excited?? Oh, I have been working on getting up earlier since I will need to be at work by 8:30 am and the drive is like 30-40 mins w/traffic so trying to get myself ready. I found if you get up and get the cardio in first thing, your day goes much better..know what I mean?

Good morning ladies....no, I actually love cardio but wanted to see if Michele got her Elliptical yet!! Today is the day....how exciting Michele!! I got mine last week and love it, and there isn't a possibility of the leg thing falling as I unfold the machine...I have not done CC but have done a few of the iTrain workouts. www.itrain.com I don't have an ipod either but I download the mp3 file and then burn it off on my CD burner as I listen to my stereo when I do my Elliptical...sorry to hijack...

Carol!! How nice to see you, of all people, in Cardiohateville!:7 :7 :7

I'm glad you love your elliptical. It was my favorite piece of cardio equipment in the gym. I'm planning to check out the itrain workouts, too. I find it more motivating if I have someone to follow in a workout. Is there a particular itrain that you like best?

I don't know how to burn a CD. I'm not even sure if I can do that on my computer. I am clueless when it comes to electronics:eek:. Do you play your CD in a walkman type thingy or do you just pop it in your stereo? I have a walkman type CD player but I lost the belt to carry it and I hate holding it in my hands.

Please, feel free to hijack anytime. This is Cardiohateville, after all, and we're pretty easy going about that--lol!

ETA that when I went back to the store to buy my elliptical the manager made a point of showing me that he lowered the footpedals on the folding ellipticals, and he was no longer going to display them in the folded position. I could tell that he felt horrible about what happened to my foot. It sounds like yours is a safer and better design than the Vision models. I do envy the space saving feature because mine is a big, hulking machine. I am literally stuffing it into my bedroom. I guess I need a new house to accommodate my elliptical}( :D

oh, Michele, I am tech challenged too. Maybe we can suffer together. I so did not want to turn into one of those older gals who cannot use the atm. Remember when the atm was new and all the seniors refused to use it....I said not me, and here I am.
I am so pleased that your contraption comes today too. I want one even though my lack of coordination would never allow me to excel, I want one.
The kids liked their teachers and love school.............so far. We will see if that is the same when the homework comes.
I got too late. I am going to the movies today. "Prada". I have not been in months. Gotta go, make lunches!

Michele, I know...word could get around that I posted here!!!...Actually I like the iClimbs best for the Elliptical but the iTreads have less climbing. The have 20 min, and 40 min iClimbs, and 20 min, 40 min and 60 min iTreads. I would start with the first set #1. If you don't know about burning you can just download it and listen to it on your PC. I just listen using my stereo.

Hi Kate..yes I worked in banking when the 1st ATM cards came out....not many seniors would use them at all. I still refuse to get my DH one...:)

Hi Everyone -

I was planning on KPC today, but didn't wake up in time. Went to sleep too late again. I need to start going to be at a decent time, especially now that I can't have as much caffeine to get me through the day. I may do some sort of cardio when I get home, depending on what time that is. DH and I started to carpool recently, so I don't have as much control of when I leave. Definitely saves money on gas and commute is quicker in the HOV lane.

Michele - I can't wait to here about your first run on the elliptical. I want to get one of those eventually too.

Kate - I know that I am not that old, but I remember thinking that e-mail was so hard to understand and weird. It is amazing how much has changed.

WOOO HOOO! Let us know how it goes Michele. :) I love new toys, especially when they are fitness related.

I love the kitty one. I couldn't do the other one at work. We should video tape our kittens, they do some funny things.

Hmm...if only we had a video camera...

We need to get one, they just do the cutest things. Sadie for some reason loves to stand on her hind legs while she does stuff, it is really funny. She also will drag herself on the rug in the office. They both love to watch me typing on the computer and do some typing of their own. Sadie also likes to hang out in the kitchen sink, which hinders my flylady routine! And watching them giving each other baths with intermittent wrestling is really funny. They will wrestle each other and then go right back to giving a bath like nothing happened. I should have definitely video taped them when they first got their new collars up on. Sadie was freaking out trying to get it off. They look so cute in their collars by the way.
