I finally got my stability ball fully inflated!

This may sound stupid, but I've had my stability ball for a couple of years, and never could get it really firm. I had a couple of different pumps, but it seemed like it was as inflated as it was going to get. When I got my Troy Lite, I also ordered the "Deluxe Ball Pump" for $10.50. It worked, and very easily I might add! My ball is fully inflated, my legs go at a 90 degree angle like they're supposed to, and boy, did it make a difference in my workout. I did both PUB and PLB this weekend, and I feel like it made a noticeable difference in both. I know this post probably sounds silly, but I guess I'm lazy when it comes to some things, and I just didn't push myself to try getting an attachment for my bicycle pump or basketball pump. Anyway, if any of the rest of you have been problems getting your ball fully inflated, you may want to try this pump. :7

i just bought a brand new burst resistant bright purple ball!!! it came with a pump so we shall see how it works. my old ball..a green balance ball would never stay inflated!!! this ball came with an exercise dvd with ball workouts..so that is cool!!but if my ball cant get to 65"...i'll be buying one of those pumps!!! thanks for the info!

Ahhh that good news for you . Isn't it wonderful when just a slight change gives a workout that feeling?
I also had a problem getting it to inflate fully so I went to dh and had him use the air compressor on it VERRRRy gently :)

Hi Lisa! Don't feel at all that your post was stupid! Your post has just helped me out tremendously. I'm plan on getting this pump to inflate my ball to full capacity. Thanks so much! Best, Kathy

Kathy,

Thanks for letting me know. I thought that maybe other people might have had this problem. They might not have let it go on for two years like I did (that's the stupid part). Anyway, I'm happy if it helps. It made a tremendous difference to me. By the way, when I use the pump, it sounds like air is escaping. I think it may be the way the pump is made. It did a great job inflating the ball though, so I'm not worried about it.

Thanks again!

I want a purple ball!! Where did you get it? What kind is it? Tell me how you end up liking it:)

Hi Lisa! Its difficult to tell from the picture of the pump but I'm sure that it comes with a special nozzle to insert into the ball in order to pump it up along w/instructions. Now maybe I'll be able to do those dreaded "V pikes" much better now. Thanks so much, Kathy:D

Kathy,

I wrote a reply to you earlier, but apparently didn't post it. Oh well. The pump comes with two nozzles, one that fits my ball and one that is too big. The sound of air escaping came from the pump, not the ball. Anyway, since I'm sending this a second time, I'll be more concise. I did much better on the pikes--I was actually able to do most of them (8 of the first set and all four in the second) and was able to do the lift one leg exercise also. It also seemed to make a difference in the earlier ab work; I guess a firmer ball is easier to hold. The funny thing is that in the past I had heard that you if you were less advanced, you should not fully inflate the ball. I think that's why I didn't try to fix my problem earlier--if I couldn't do the dreaded pikes on an underinflated ball, how would I do them on a fully inflated one? Well that was misinformation, at least in my case. Sorry, this wasn't so concise, huh? Have a great day!
