I fell

I don't know how I did it but on Wednesday afternoon I fell down the steps. I was carrying Gannon too so thank God that he is ok. I somehow lost my footing on the very top step and went right down on my butt. Fell down about 5-6 steps. Now I am in so much pain and all I can think about is how long is it going to be until I can workout. Can you break your tailbone b/c that is how bad I feel? It hurts to even sit on the couch.

Sorry to be such a whiny baby but geeze, after T-Day yesterday, I NEED a workout or 2.

Oh gosh Dana. I'm sooo sorry that happened! Thank goodness Gannon is okay! I always am petrified of that happening to me when I have Joey in my arms!!!

I think you CAN break your tailbone but I don't think there is anything they can do about it really...

I once hurt my tail bone. It's certainly not fun! x( The pain subsided after a few days but still to this day (and it happened YEARS ago!!!), if I sit on a hard surface for too long my tailbone area will start to ache. :-(

Hope you feel better really soon!!!

Dana, I'm so sorry about your fall. I'm glad the baby is OK though. About this time last year, I fell down about 3 steps. I hit my back and bruised my ribs. I was off wook for a week and didn't work out for about a month. Take it easy and feel better soon.

By the by, Kali and Wendy are planning a GTG at the Lehigh Valley Mall in Dec. Interested?

Dana,

thankfully Gannon wasn't hurt but maybe you should see a doctor if nothing gets better in a few days. i believe its possible to break a tailbone or at least bruise the heck out of it. but if you can't sit down maybe then its someting to get checked. better safe then sorry.

I'm glad your baby is okay. Yes, you can break your tailbone. If you are in that much pain after 3 days, you should at least give your doctor a call to speak with a nurse to get their opinion. They will probably refer you for x-rays or to the ER to be checked out but at least talk to a health care provider.

Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry to hear that Dana! How awful. You really should check in with your doctor just to make sure everything is okay. You'll probably find you're okay, but it can't hurt to make sure.

Oh Dana I hope you're okay. I bruised my tailbone skiing once and it was very uncomfortable but healed quicker then I would have expected - I was sure it was broken but it was just bruised. You should go have the doctor look at you to be sure.

Oh Dana so sorry to hear. Take it easy. You should probably see the doctor just in case. So glad you little one is ok :)

Ouch! I'm sorry that you're hurting!

I broke my tailbone a few years ago (someone knocked me down at a rollerskating rink). There was no treatment, but I took Motrin and that helped. It took about 3 weeks to heal.

I hope you feel better soon.

So sorry that you fell and hope for a speedy recovery:). I just fell today walking out of the store and their was a patch of ice. I hurt my knee it is a little swollowing but not bad and Im sure not as bad as you feel. And no your not a whiny baby and please take it easy. Take care:)

Oh Dana, I'm so sorry! How are you doing today? I think I broke my tailbone years ago when a lawnchair collapsed. OUCH! You are not a whiner. I hope you will be back to your workouts soon. Keep us posted. Sooo glad Gannon wasn't hurt.
