Go back two years ago to July 2006...
I was planning on becoming TaeBo certified...
A week before my trip to certification camp, I nearly weedwhacked my finger off...I had never experienced something like that in over 10 years of landscaping.
I go to cert camp, and don't get certified..they didn't need to send me the letter, I knew when I walked in the door I had made a terrible mistake...sometimes, you just know.
I come home to New Jersey, looking for advanced KickBox DVD's, and do a search on collage video's website...leads me to someone I had never heard of....Cathe Friedrich...her KPC tape promises an intense workout, so I take the plunge.
The DVD arrives, and I immediately pop it in the player to view it, and am impressed by the quality of the production, and the intense, yet easy-to learn KB moves...cool.
I then notice something else...this Cathe person is located in Glassboro, NJ, about 1 hour from my house!! Ok, what is going on here??
I decide to check out Cathe.com, and am hooked by the forums, and by the fact that Cathe herself is an active member, so I think...hmmm maybe I'll make the drive up to Glassboro for a class.
I make the drive, Cathe is incredibly gracious, the class kicks my butt, and I am a happy camper.
I become more active on the forums, and find the nicest group of people I have ever encountered on any forum, people who share a common love of intense fitness!
I think, wouldn't it be cool to meet some of these people...July 2008, Road Trip to end all RT's, just incredible.
OK..had I gotten TaeBo certified...never would have found Cathe or you great people, would have had to traveled to California on a yearly basis for re-cert camps...which meant a good chance I would have been in CA when the recent earthquake hit.
I just found out that the Billy Blanks World of Fitness is closing the same exact day I realized I can get to Cathe's gym from my home without ever having to make a right hand turn until I arrived at the club.
I usually don't think in these terms, but damn, it does make me wonder what if!
