I did something really stupid.

I was allowing my children some of the miniture Hersheys that I had put in their Christmas stocking and I had some, then some more, then some more. Now my head is buzzing and feels like a slight hangover and my belly feels yucky!

Do you think it would be o.k. if I tried to repair the damage by doing BootCamp tonight? I did PLB+35 minutes of cardio (free lance aerobics) and 5 minutes of abs this morning. That has been my usual Thursday routine for December. Also, I plan on doing PUB+35 minutes of cardio (free lance aerobics) in the morning.

Or, should I just eat light the rest of the day and vacuum the whole house...twice?
 
I think BootCamp is punishment enough! ;-)

Don't beat yourself up too badly... It's ok if you indulge once in while. Not too the point of getting sick, of course.... But if you don't make it a usual habit of eating sweets, you shouldn't feel guilty about having them when you do....:D
 
Sooooooo how big is your house? Vaccum AND dust I would say!

If doing BootCamp is going to make you feel better, go for it, but really..........continuing with the "clean eating" for the rest of the day is all you need to do

I know how you feel, but you just can't beat yourself up over occasional treats. If you do, you're going to spend the rest of your life feeling guilty, because nobody is perfect!

HOWEVER...if it makes you feel better to clean the house, go for it! I say anything that makes me clean is just fine!:p

Thanks so much ladies, I feel a lot better, especially when I hear you refer to what I thought was a disgusting display of lack of self control as "indulging in an occassional treat". Maybe if I took on such a healthier mentality I would crave the stuff less often.

I think I may skip Bootcamp. I don't want to over do it. My body needs to recover from PLB and get ready for PUB first thing in the a.m.

However, I may still vacuum and I am considering KPC! No weights!
 
Don't feel you have to do penance for your "sin"! It sounds like your body has already told you that those cute little miniature Hersheys aren't the best fuel for it. I'll sometimes succomb to cravings for something sugary or maybe chips or something, but I usually have the same reaction you do to it: a slight hangover-like feeling and a yucky belly. So why do we want these things? Hmmm.

Don't use your workkouts as punishment. Just tell yourself that tomorrow you will do better!
 
Well, I think the best way to recover from it is to come over and vacuum MY house!! That will burn the calories most efficiently!!!

Well... maybe I should vacuum my own house.

Whenever I start on a tiny candy bender (like Halloween) I leave the wrappers on the counter. That way I know how many I have eaten.

Fortunately I am not a candy freak - I love anything salty. Chips, cheese, salted meats, popcorn. I will pass right by the sweets for the salt.

Good luck and be kind to yourself - there is always tomorrow.
