I did ME twice!!!!

Second go around was alittle tougher as muscles were alittle fatigued, but not too bad at all. Was eating so much and drinking the entire time as I had my protein shake, yogurt, water and protein bar right in front of me. Never got dizzy. I completely the bicep curls both times using a 25lb barbell. The static lunges second time around were worse then the bicep curls, I thought. I had to pause for a second to shake the lactic acid around in my legs. That one bites! My entire body feels WIDE AWAKE now. I worked out to Motley Crue. I was listening to "Dr. Feelgood" for one go around of bicep curls...pretending Cathe was the Dr. Feelgood, telling me that I was feeling good while doing them. Listened to "Shout at the Devil" second time around. LOL!

I encourage you all to give this a try twice as your muscles feel soooo good afterwards. I don't feel tired at all.

When you train the muscles with lighter weights and high repetitions, the blood flow to the working muscles is greatly increased then when muscles are at rest. Creating higher levels of nutrient transfer, increasing the rate at which your body repairs damaged muscle. Basically, the faster your muscles recover, the faster they grow. Faster recovery allows you to work the same muscles more frequently so you can stimulate greater growth.
Bottom line, light weights with high reps from previous day is the secret to the fastest gains when you work with heavier weights next day. So far, it has worked for me and I am seeing results and lifting heavier. I also listen to my body and know how far I can push myself.

Oh, Charlotte, you are Wonderwoman! I can barely stand to do one round of static lunges!

I was just wondering how much protien you consume during that workout? I imagine that you need quite a bit. i do have to say that Shout at the Devil sounds quite proper for a second round of static lunges! }(

So do you mute Cathe and follow along? You do that for all her w/o? This klutzo needs to hear the great one :p

Go, Charlotte! Go, Charlotte!

I figured it out!! You want to be ready for Mike Tyson when he decides to make a come back!!:p

Way to Goooooo, Charlotte!!!! You should be very proud of yourself, that's a HUGE accomplishment. :) :)

I just finished ME once, but you are in MUCH better shape than I am. WTG!! I was thinking that I should've used lighter weights and maybe I would have the strength to do it again. }(

Have a super weekend everybody. I'm off to the neighbor's - they're having a bonfire!! :) I just LOVE fall.

Take care,
~Marcia~

Debbie,

My bicep muscle has increased another 1/2 inch from 3 weeks ago. My thighs 1/2 inch.
I turn down the volume of the Cathe workouts. I know what she is saying. I have worked out to them a million times. I just like really hard rock music when I am working out. Sometimes when Cathe is laughing like in ME during the bicep curls, I really don't want to hear it, it makes me lose focus. LOL!

Wow! Charlotte, please let us know how you're feeling the next 24 - 48 hours. DOMS check!!

WAY TO GO GIRL!!!I did ph upper twice in one session and it was killer I am not a big fan of me but will give that one a shot one day I think it is around the same min wise as ph doing upper 2 times and abs 2 times was around 70 min.I think if I ate while working out I would throw up-I sip on gaterade if it is a longer session.I even have to run after I have ate 3 hours before or I will hurl if it is sooner. So today is a heavy lifting day ?

Charlotte... I am picking my jaw off the ground. You are really progressing so well in your strength/endurance gains. I feel like I've won the Olympics when I get through those biceps curled ONCE in ME.

That is on the schedule for today for me BTW.:p

BUT NOT TWICE!}(

Hey Sheila!

Alot of people cannot workout with food on their stomach. I am just glad that I can because it helps me from getting dizzy, etc.

I want to start running more after I am done with these rotation.

Yes, today will be Tri's/Bi's, Legs and Shoulders (shoulder only) and maybe Chest and Back. I think that will be about 3 hours so I am not sure how I will fare on time today and might do Chest and Back Sunday.

How many days do you work upperbody?I tend to do 3-4.one heavy day-circuit day -and a pure endurance such as ph and if I do 4 I just go with whatever appeals to me.I do upper everyother day and legs either standing or floor on the between days.I haven't tried to do endurance before a heavy wt day I may try it just for pure shock value if nothing else-something lighter like ss.You have noticably put on some muscle so keep it up whatever you are doing is working.I can't wait to see your oct rotation-please share:D
Running is really hard for me for some reason. My hr soars when I run as fast as I would like so I have to keep adjusting my speed back and forth the whole time.I am a sprinter by nature that is what I excel at so longer running is something I have to work for.I am in awe of anyone who can run 10-20 miles I will one day be one of them.
keep getting toasty:D

Hey Sheila!

I usually workout upper body twice a week. I like to workout my legs too and just throw in one cardio for the week. Like you, I have a harder time getting started when I run. My hr soars as well, but if I push myself, I can continue running non stop for at least 1 hour. I haven't gone beyond 1 hour yet. I know, I am in awe too of anyone who can run 10 miles or more. Incredible endurance. For now, I am gonna continue lifting heavy and get into more running next month.
Thanks for the encouragement! You really should post some pics of yourself as I remember what you said you lift for various body parts. I am beginning to wonder if you are a machine!

I want to post pictures I don't like to take them often and my ds is the one who does it for me so I have a hard time getting him to do it.And I am a dummy with a computer but hopefuly one day I will post some. what I really want to do is send some to oxygen mag for their future of fitness page that they run....I may get the nerve soon.:+
