I Did it Myself!!! :)

Almost 2 weeks ago my washing machine died dramatically in a show of blue and white smoke. In a house with 3 teen Girls and a massage therapist mom who washes linens for work, a couple of loads of laundry a day is a given. My dilemma was that every opportunity to shop for a machine was spent in the laundromat. Anyway, I bought a machine yesterday and it was delivered today. I thought they would hook it up but they don't. I've never hooked one up and was frustrated to have to wait so I went for it and figured it out myself!! What a great feeling!! I've never been so happy to do laundry in all of my life!! Just wanted to share my little victory!!:)

Thanks Ladies! Lisa, I love it that I'm at a place in my life that I don't 'need' a man, doesn't mean I don't want one but it's empowering not to need one!

With four girls and no washing machine I feel your pain. I think I would take the machine over a dishwasher. Kudos for putting it together yourself.

Yay Laurie! I know what it feels like to not have a washing machine. I spent 4 years in college and 4 years in my early working days without a washing machine and had to go to the laundromat. To this day, 25 years later, I can still remember how that felt. I am always thankful for my own washing machine!

Laurie,
Isn't that a wonderful place to be?!!! I'm married with kids, but I've learned through counseling that I can still be independent and my own person!
