I can't get over how generous people are...

I was at my MIL's last night for dinner so my FIL walks in with this big bag. It's a gift from a woman whom was not even invited to my shower! It was a very large gift bag FILLED with things for my little guy! The diaper bag I registerd for was there filled with stuff and then there was even more stuff on top of it! So many people have been sooo generous...it blows my mind! I am so thankful to have such wonderful people around me.:) :+ :)

Now if one of these folks would just come over and help me put all of this stuff away, I'd REALLY be greatful!:p ;-) :7

That was so sweet! I noticed that too when I was pregnant with DS. My MIL's coworkers, whom I've never met, bought me tons of stuff. I think babies bring out the best in people.
 
Everyone loves babies. You could get the biggest baddest meanest burliest man turn to mush when he is holding a baby. They tend to bring out the best in all of us!
 
I had similar experiences, Wendy. It's amazing, isn't it? It made me a much more generous person myself, with friends and acquaintances who have subsequently had children.

ITA, I too had gifts (nice gifts at that) from people I never had met. Makes you think alot about the nature of people. I agree deep down, many people are more soft hearted than one may think.
 
yes, people love babies. do you notice how many smiles you get when passing someone and they notice your protruding belly? i love it!!
 
I have never been asked how I am or how I am feeling or how things are going SOOO much in my life!!! Everyone wants to know how the pregnancy is going ALL of the time! lol:+
