DH won't try a workout either.I wish he would b/c I think he would realize how tough she actaully is.Not that he thinks my workouts are a piece of cake.He is always telling people how far I run and how long I workout.I think it is just a man thing, they don't want us telling people that we made them workout at home.

Add my DH to the list of "wont try"

However, I did get DH to take a run with me once, because I "dared" him, that I could hold the pace longer than him!

He had to prove himself after that................so of we went for our run............and he nearly "killed" himself in trying to prove I was wrong...............so Im a "little weary" getting him TO INVOLVED in any workout like Cathes.

His point now is 'HE HAS NO POINT TO MAKE!!!!!"

Gotta love him

My DH tried one of Cathe's tapes before, can't remember which one, & he just about died. Now, he will come right out & tell me she is too advanced for him. I encourage him to modify but he just won't do it. He says he wants to start with a beginner workout. It's pathetic.

My husband did Boot Camp with me once last year. A pitiful sight. The experience has not been repeated. He sits and excavates the fridge when I work out. Sigh.

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies.... We all know we can't change our DH. Why try? We love them unconditionally! And we all get along better if we don't nag or complain. When or if they WANT to do a workout they will. Otherwise forget trying to make people do what you think they should. JMHO

edit: for spelling

There's no way I'd get my husband to do any Cathe tapes. He'd claim it's because he doesn't get into working out to a tape - but I KNOW he knows that he couldn't keep up. Plus, he knows he'd look silly doing "girly" moves.

Actually, I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the window while doing KPC and I look like a total dork myself!

DH got a wake-up call when he went cycling with me one day. I have one of those trailers for toddlers that you attach to the back. It adds probably a 40+lb drag to your bike, but I'd take it 10 miles a coupld times a week. The one day he went with me and I had him put it on his bike, he couldn't do it. What a wimp! (for the record - he's probably about 80 lbs. heavier and a foot taller than me, so he really SHOULD have been able to do it as well as me).

Actually, when the husband in question's father dies young of a heart attack and you have two young children who want to have their father around a lot longer than their grandfather survived and you want to grow old gracefully with this man next to you, your attitude and "hands off" recommendation are not sensible or welcome. Please don't preach to us, you don't know for sure that we "nag" nor that we try to change them. But we sure are concerned and have every right to be. Sedentary lifestyles are not good for anyone.

Who else can you be concerned about, if not the one you love most in this world?
