I came so close!

Ever since receiving the Intensity Series in September, I've been working to finish IMAX 2 in it's entirety, no modifications, no breaks. I thought today was the day! But alas, the plie jacks got the best of me and I had to pause for a minute.x(

Back in September I was new to Cathe and I couldn't even finish the first 3 intervals without a break. The darn workout took me nearly 2 hours to get through with many, many modifications. While I'm happy that I've come so far, I am still disappointed that I didn't make it. It's just that I've been working SO HARD!

Oh well, back at it tomorrow, right?

That's great progress! Don't be so hard on yourself. Next time you do it (I hope you don't literally mean "tomorrow," since you should do intense interval workouts like this no more than once or twice a week, and never on consecutive days), instead of taking a break during the plié jacks, do regular jacks for a while: that will decrease the intensity somewhat, but maybe make you feel more productive than pausing.

You're on your way to doing the whole thing all the way through. Just look at how far you've come already. Good job! (I'm impressed, because I modify about 1/4 of the moves in this one).

That's awesome work, Mona!!! High Five! You've come a long way in a very short time! Don't feel bad about interval nine; it's awfully tough. Like another poster suggested, doing regular jumping jacks in place of a total rest is a good way to work up your stamina for the entire interval.

I'm doing the happy dance for you :)

Oh, those plie jacks. I've never done them as is. I do 4 slow ones for Cathe's 8 fast ones. I feel it more in my muscles this way than in my joints. That's just one small part of the whole workout. Don't let it get you down. You've worked hard. Enjoy your accomplishment.:)

In no time you'll be posting how you've reached your goal! Keep plugging away and you will! Congratulations on your progress so far.

I had a really hard time getting through this work out as well. Even now somedays I can and some I can't. Most of the time I quit, only to find out we are right at the end of the interval (I usually lose count) and if I had just pushed myself for 15 more seconds I could have made it through. I really hate when that happens. But we all can only do the best we can and feel pride in knowing that.
