Husbands Allowed?

hey there, I've never been to one of these road trips. I would LOVE to come, but what if my husband is the only one who is free to go with me???
Could someone tell me what the crowd is like who's been before?
Also curious if it is mostly people who have been before or locals?
I'm from North Carolina.
And does the "Crew" attend?? Neat to see them too. :)

Sure Katy! He is "allowed"! He will have to sign up and pay if he plans to particpate. I think it would be great for him to join in! The crowd is coming from all over. No certain area. I have never been on a roadtrip before but looking forward to having a BLAST! Cathe is going to be in touch with us next week giving us more details and I am going to ask if the crew will be there. I would love to meet all the people I work out with weekly. Hope to see you there and stay tuned for more details!

I KNOW he won't participate, ha ha, but we'd just want to go to the meeting
functions and stuff. I'd be way too embarresed to do the workouts that's why I
workout at home with Cathe now. :) ya know?
I just want to be a part of it all :)

Hi, Katy,
My husband is flying out with me and he is looking forward to some leisurely time on his own while I'm having fun at the gym. We have a very busy life at home, so it is going to be half couple get-away and half time on our own. At first I felt kind of guilty using what could be couple time for this, but he is promising me that he will have a GREAT relaxing time and that he wants me to fully enjoy whatever I want from the Road Trip. It is my Mother's Day present. :)

One more thing...I think lots of people are coming by themselves, and will be ready to hook up with new friends who are also there by themselves. If your husband doesn't end up coming after all, I think you will have plenty of people to keep you company.

I'm happy to hear your husbands are thinking of coming. My husband is hoping to come with me and spend the weekend relaxing while I meet all you wonderful folks, as well as Cathe. He's not planning on participating, unless we get word that Cedie will be there. He loves that woman! Any time I do one of the workouts without her, he wants to know where she is. Can't wait to hear more news about the trip this week.
 
My husband is planning on coming along too. He will not be participating, but says he will find plenty to do while I am enjoying myself with all you wonderful ladies.. :7

My husband is coming too ~ we're driving up from VA (4.5 hours) and he's looking forward to lying by the pool for 2 days while I sweat my booty off in class. Also, we're going to leave our two little ones with Grandma and Grandpa and are going to make a little weekend out of it.
 
Kind of scary having all these husbands lounging around the pool together. I'd hate to think of the stories they might share about all us Cathe-ites!

Just a word of warning--Glassboro, NJ is not exactly the entertainment capital of the world. There won't be much else for them to do besides lying around the pool. ;-)
 
Not that close. It's at least a 30 minute drive, or they could hop the speedline to center city, but that would probably take longer. I just want you all to be prepared. Certainly bring them but they might get a little bored if they're not participating.
 
Well, I guess I consider 30 minutes pretty close! But I do agree that unless they find a good watering hole nearby, the men may get bored.

I attended the last road trip back in 2000 with out my husband. There was one or two husbands there but I can't say how much fun they had. My husband thought it was really bizarre to get together with people who you never met before for the entire weekend and you only know these people from the internet :) An idea for the husbands may be a trip to Atlantic City and the casino's, they are about an hour away amd easy to get to.

The group that attended came from all over and were alot of fun. ANd they came in all shapes and sizes so need to be embarrassed to workout in front of them.
For that Road Trip some of the crew was there. It was really great to meet them and see them in person. We even met Eric, who was under a year old at the time. I wonder if we'll meet both her boys this time? By the way, Cathe's husband was there, too.

You guys are too funny. I was just considering that if it was the girls tagging along, would the guys be worrying about how the girls would occupy their time, LOL! I guess they would figure if there were stores around, the women would be set :)
 
Add me to the going solo group--he'd like to come but won't be able to so I'll be looking for the solo group(and anyone else who wants join in while their hubby is at the pool!)

Hi Everyone!

Steve is thinking about coming out just to get out of the city for two days-- lie by the pool and catch up on doing NOTHING for 3 days. I'm sure he'd also like to poke around Phillie or catch up with the other guys that tag along... LOL :)
