Hungrier w/ STS!!

I am doing STS for the second time and I am STARVING!!! I've been making sure to drink tons of water since that was holding me back last time I did the program, but I am just genuinely HUNGRY! I've been trying to stick to my calorie goals and am finding it almost impossible to eat just 1700 cals a day. I have been eating mostly clean w/ protein at every meal, so not sure what gives?

Just some background: I am doing the STS/SC 3 1/2 month rotation. I also throw in a 1/2 hour of cardio on days I lift. On some days, if I'm feeling energetic, I will also throw in an extra 1/2 hour of cardio after a SC disc.

Should I try to stick to the 1700 goal or just listen to my hunger cues? I'm trying to lose weight. UGH this calorie counting thing is so confusing!!!

You need to up your cal intake! I did the 3 1/2 month STC/SC too. I think 1700 cal are way to low, JMO! Try to eat more lean potein/protein shakes and veggies. I eat 6 small meals a day/every 3 hours and still lost a lot of inches/weight. Why are you doing so much cardio? You don't need to do that much cardio, maybe throw in one extra one a week! No wonder you are hungry! Eat more food and lift as heavy as you can with good form! You still will lose weight.

Have fun with STS/SC rotation. I loved it!

You are doing STS, its a time to put on muscle and not restrict calories. Load up on lots of healthy fats/vegetables until you are full. I know, it seems odd, but just try it and see if you don't get results.
