How you know your Cathe workouts work!!

midnight

OK - when you just can't do one more lateral raise or you just feel like you can't face those plie jacks one more time....

I did Muscle Max this morning, using heavy weights and in many cases got to complete fatigue. I finished the whole workout and stretched out.
Immediately after doing the workout, I went snowshoeing for a mile and a half on moderately hilly terrain with some friends and their dogs. Since it snowed a bunch here yesterday, there were several inches of untouched powder.
Guess who was the leader of the pack? Guess who didn't have to stop to take a rest? Guess who wasn't complaining about her butt and thighs hurting? Guess who wasn't even breathing heavy. ME, the only one who exercises with Cathe!! Some of them do work out on a regular basis but not with Cathe. I have been a video workout jock for a while but switched to Cathe exclusively just a year and a half ago. That was when I really began to see changes. If I wasn't a Cathe disciple before, you can bet I am now.

How cool, Lois! You are, indeed, a true Catheite! You know how I measure? When I'm running late to clock in & I can run across our freakin' huge parking lot, my backpack & lunch bag in tow, up the walkway that's about a mile long, into the main building & still, clock in on time. That is no small feat. If only you could see.

a year and 1/2 .. tell me you saw results before then please. I can't wait that long.

I wish I could say the same, but Cathe's workouts can be a killer and I am just plain tired afterwards, not feeling all that energized unless I take a nap. WHEW!

I know they work by my increased energy & strength, at work & home. I also know they work because if I stop, even for just a little while, my energy & strength, especially my energy, go down.

Most of all, I know they work because I can pass the pencil test!

Hi Ruth! I'm so pleased to see you posting again! I was wondering about you today, and hoping you were coping okay. How are you doing?

I hear you about the energy-loss from not exercising. I experience the same thing.

Take care,
Sandra

Hi Sandra,

How very nice of you, you sweet thing! Thank you for asking. I haven't been able to face coming here, let alone posting, until today when I had planned to only lurk. But then I had to thank Cathe for her "clean up" post, & it went from there!

I can't say I'm doing well & it's so hard to go back to normal things. I did start working out again yesterday & I can feel the difference. I hope it helps mentally as well.

It definitely didn't take that long to notice results. I knew I was stronger and had more stamina a while ago but it had never displayed itself to this degree. Hang in there and you will see those results. Good luck!

A year and a half is not long! (I have always been active, video exerciser for eight years now) I don't know how the success stories (total change in just six, eight or nine weeks) on other websites work. I don't think they are very realistic. There is more to exercise than results that you can see. Hang in there for LIFE!

That's awesome. I am a heavy duty hiker and mountain climber. I knew that Cathe was my best piece of gear when I did a 2 day climb and not only carried 40 lbs of my own stuff, but had to carry quite a bit of one of my climbing partner's gear. She got altitude sick and that was the only way we were going to get anywhere. I also went on a climb with 4 women and 2 men and I was the only woman who carried a rope the whole trip, plus a lot of rock gear (about 14 extra pounds on top of my own stuff!!!)

Snowshoeing is TOUGH. I did a lot of it last year and we have no snow this year so I'm really sad. Glad you got to do it though - what kind of shoes do you have?
