How to measure pasta????? Help!

Hello Catheland.

I have a question.... If 2oz. of dry spaghetti is a serving, what the hec is a serving once it's cooked?? Does anyone know? I am at a freaking loss here.

I know what you mean, why on earth can't the recipe give you the cooked measuring? That is so annoying! Sorry I can't help you with this!

Hi Kali,

2oz of dry spaghetti equals about 1 cup cooked (2 servings). Personally, I think that's a little skimpy, but that's the current guidline.

Hey Marie,

According to the Food Guide Pyramid, a 1/2 cup cooked pasta is considered one serving. 2oz of dry pasta equals 2 servings cooked. That seems like a very little bit to me, especially if you're serving it as your main course.
