How to keep squares from sliding?

My floor is tiled and I put interlocking quares on it to workout. But they always slide so it's really hard to do sertain moves--like the interval in IMax2 where you slide side-to-side ont he floor (gotta be careful not to fall). Any ideas on how I can keep it in place?

Thanks
Katia

I don't have any experience with those interlocking squares but I've seen this no-skid stuff you can put under door mats and runners (my folks use this under theirs on tile floor). It's rubbery looking with holes, comes in rolls. Maybe Target, Bed Bath & beyond, or the Container store carries it...sorry I don't have the name of the product!!
good luck!

Mine used to slide when I did some of the BC moves (like sumo squats and the ice skaters). I solved it by making sure the squares take up most of my free space, and by putting some 10# weight plates on each corner.

I had the same problem on carpet. I finally put one side beneath my couch legs to hold it in place, and that seems to work the best!

I do this too, but do you have any ideas to keep the squares from separating? I'm on squishy carpet and if I step in the "right" places they tend to lift up at the intersections.

I ducktaped the squares together (wrong side up) then turned them right side up and put 2 three pound plates at each corner.

If you have a yoga mat, place it under the interlocks squares. It should not move so much. Also, it moves less if the plainer side is down and the textured side is up. Good luck. I love my mats. They do not slide around but I bought alot and I have a sofa on one side as well. I also do not use anything underneath anymore. The yoga mat did work though.

I have interlocking mats on a ceramic tile floor. The mats have a smooth side and a rough side. Which side do you have facing up? I use them with the rough side facing up and the smooth side against the tile floor and they do not slide. If I reverse this, then the mats slide all over the place.
