Hi Cathe and everyone,
Do you have any tips for increasing speed of movement? For example, if a person wanted to develop faster speed of punches and kicks, what would be a good way to approach that? Is it best to just do the punches/kicks and try, while doing them, to increase speed? Or is it helpful to do more strength workouts with weights, targeting the muscles involved? Or some other kind of weight training? Anyway I enjoy martial arts and while I know people like Bruce Lee had unique genetics, I wonder if there is anything a person can do to maximize their own personal speed. This would also help in other sports I "play" at.
