Hi
I really wanted to check in with fellow Catheites about how much water you'll consume in a day.
I work with a nutritionist as I am trying to bring my eating disorder under control and she thinks I am drinking way too much. I normally drink my water from a 1.5 litre bottle which I fill up 5 times a days. So I guess I am drinking approx 6 - 8 litres a day. It goes down a bit in winter but not too much. I also need to have frequent loo breaks - at least more than the average person.
My nutritionist says 2 -3 litres is adequate for an active person. I was really very surprised. I normally need 1.5 litres just to recover from IMAX 3! I don't think 2 -3 litres would work for me. Any input from you guys would be great.
Also I would love to know how much fat you guys eat. I don't add any fat to my diet and I know that is kind of extreme. But my nutritionist wants me to eat 2-3 servings with lunch and dinner. One serving of fat is approx. one tablespoon of nuts or one teaspoon of oil. Is that about average? Its funny, I pay all that money for a nutritionist but at the end of the day, I seem to trust the advice I get from here more.
