Hi Cathe and Educated Crowd,
I feel like my exercise routine is going through a bit of a slump and is currently haphazard at best. I work out for around 7 hours a week, but haven’t given any one rotation long enough to know whether or not my body responds well to it. I get bored easily so am constantly changing which types of workouts I do. The longest rotation I’ve ever stuck with was the CTX series for 4 weeks, and I responded well to it, but for variety’s sake moved on. I would like to do more of a “rotation-style” routine so I will know what works when I land upon it. My question is, how many weeks should I stick with a given rotation before I evaluate whether my body responds well or not? On the other hand, is there any benefit to me continuing my current practice of choosing whatever I feel like doing the day I do it (I don't work the same body parts on consecutive days, or other no-no's).
Thanks for any guidance! All opinions are welcome!
Holly
