How many times/week do you work abs?

My rotation has me doing cardio 3x week and PUB/PLB 3x week (I do PUB, Combo, PLB). Should I work abs every day, 3x week or what? Also, I'm using Ab Hits...how many workouts do you do if you use this?

I work abs twice a week, like any other muscle group. I've been doing the Intensity Series ab workouts, and just rotate them.

Just Do It! :)
 
My schedule has me alternating Step Heat & Step Max (remember, I'm still pretty new to Cathe routines) 3x week and pub/plb 3x week. SH has abs in it and I add abs to SM, so I'm doing abs some weeks 5x and some weeks 4x. When I was doing Firm, I worked abs 4 days of a 5 day schedule. I'm looking to really pound my abs for bathing suit season...which is just around the corner. Am I doing abs too much?

I don't see why abs would be any different from any other muscle. They only grow when you rest them. So, it seems working them 3X a week would be ideal. You wouldn't work your legs or chest more than that, so why your abs?

I work mine 3X a week.
 
I do abs after every strength training session so 3-4 times per week. Cathe's workouts can be sooo stuff though sometimes my abs are still sore from the previous time so I rest them. Susan
 
I do abs whenever I work out (cardio or weights), so anywhere from 4-6 times per week. I don't use weights when I'm doing abs - no ankle weights, medicine ball or dumbbells against the chest - so I figure it's OK to work them a lot because it's just my body weight I'm pulling up and down. The same with pushups - I'm still mastering "boy" pushups on my toes, and I'll try a set or two every day because I'm using body weight, not extra weights.
 
Thank you ladies for the input. My surgeon put me on mandatory 1 week rest...AAAHHH...and I was just on a role.

Oh well.
