How long should a DVD collect dust?

I'm amassing quite a ginormous collection of workout videos and DVD's. I feel somewhat guilty about having so many. Also, it gets overwhelming wondering when I'm going to have the time to do them all. How do I know when it's time to donate some? Does anyone use any sort of "policy"--such as, if a year goes by without doing it, you let it go?
I'm just curious if anyone else feels like they need to clear the clutter before adding more workouts. Or do you just keep stockpiling knowing you always have something new waiting for you?

If they have a big ICK factor for me, I get rid of them, otherwise I keep them. You never know when you might need them, right?:p

Luckily my TV stand has too big, deep cabinets. Some days when I want something different, you should see me digging everything out and figuring out what one that I have not done in ages I should do. My DH just shakes his head.

I have a lot of dusty bunnies (because I have a lot of workout DVD's), but there aren't many I have left to get rid of. If I get rid of a workout, it's because I don't like it and can't imagine ever wanting to do it. If the workout is good, and I might use it again, I usually keep it.

Everyone has a different system. Some people set an upper limit on the number of workouts they want (for space considerations) and once they reach that limit, they get rid of an old workout for every new workout they get.

Some people never get rid of any workouts (except for a very few they really didn't like). I know once someone posted about having upwards of 500 workouts. I can't see going that high (though if I'd kept every workout I even bought, I'd have far more than that!).

To help with your decision, you might want to do a dust-bunny rotation. Give them one more chance before you decide to get rid of them. (And if while doing the rotation, there are some workouts that you never want to do, you know they should go to the 'get rid of' pile).
