To make a long story short, I crushed the middle finger of my right hand in the garage door last Wednesday, and then scrubbed my newly tiled bathrooms/kitchen with my left hand over the weekend, to remove the grout haze. I am right handed, and NEVER use my left arm for work (other than strength workouts). My left arm is noticably weaker than my right.
Now, my left shoulder is KILLING me. It started Monday night, and has progressively gotten worse. I've been doing my normal workouts, but I think I'm gonna take it easy for a few days. Some websites (like NIH and other reputable ones!) say that it is bursitis, based on how and where it hurts, and that I need to rest it. Bursitis is often caused by doing repetitive motions (like scrubbing?).
So, now, I can't use my right hand or my left arm. Does anyone know how long bursitis might last with proper rest and ice treatment. I am also taking Advil, but if I forget, the pain immediately reminds me when I lift my arm. Getting older is not fun!!!!!!
Thanks,
Sandi
