I've never used P90, but I've read a lot about it, and it doesn't appeal to me.
P90X, on the other hand, is great!
If you want something less intense than P90X, then Power Half Hour is a good bet. It's a series of 5 (6?) 1/2 hours workouts: upper body; thighs; buns; abs; stretch; ?. The ab workout includes some standing ab work, cardio and plyo moves (not "jump as high as you can" plyo, but "make a 180 turn" plyos that work the obliques). Tony is goofier than he is in P90X, and I actually like him better in PHH after using P90X, and the workouts are shorter, but they are effective.
