Hi Janie!
How sweet of you to ask.

Gizmo is doing so well. He had his last vet appointment about a week and a half ago. She still said no bones for a bit, but we finally broke down this weekend and gave them their bones back. She said he was fully healed. He was starting to chew on everything - including my arms! He doesn't have to have any more follow up appointments. Yay!!!
But get this - Friday we went to a local rental place to rent a rototiller (sp?). We had Macy with us b/c she had to go to the vet for her last nasal mite shot (eeeewwww!). Well this guy there was asking all kinds of questions about her, saying how he had "Pits" - I hate when people call them that. He asked if she was spayed. I think he would have liked to use her for breeding b/c he thought she was beautiful. Yes, she's spayed. Anyway, when we went back to drop off the tiller, we didn't have Macy with us. So he said, "Oh, you left my dog at home." I said, "Yeah, she had to stay with our other dogs." So he asked if we had more "Pits". I said that we had another Pit Bull (from the Shelter) and then this little puppy that we got from the Shelter. I told him they said he was a Pit Bull but that I wasn't sure he was b/c he was kind of small and didn't look so much like one. I told him how he was dropped off with a broken jaw. So he just looks at me and then says, "Oh. Is he brown and white?" I freaked out! I just stared at him for a minute and then said, "Um...no. He's just brown. Plain brown." Oh, I'm sure I was really convincing! So he asked me if he was neutered. I said he was. Then he went on to say a lady friend of his lost her female (Gizmo was dropped off by a woman) and she was brindle and white and he was sure someone stole her to breed her. WHAT? It was the strangest conversation. And he gave me the creeps. I'm sure he either knows the woman who dumped Gizmo OR he's the one who broke his jaw. Not that he'd do anything, but of course they have our address. Just a little freaky.
I'm not sure if you saw the pictures in my picture trail that were after Gizmo got his collar off. Those are the most recent. We need to take more. I'll post when I do.
Thanks again for asking about him. He's the most adorable little guy. He's grown a little bit, but he's still smaller than the other two. He does everything they do. It's the cutest thing. He's really smart. We just feel so blessed to have him in our lives.
Suz
