I normally grind 2 tbs. and mix it with my morning oatmeal..but I am looking for different ways to incorporate it into my diet. I have started mixing my oatmeal with all bran and this has helped keep me satisfied longer.
Any suggestions?

1 scoop protien powder
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen berries
8 oz. vanilla soy milk

I put ground flax seed on yogurt, on cold and hot cereals and in smoothies. I have occasionally sprinkled it on a salad also. It works well with spinach and arugula.

You can substitute ground flaxseed for vegetable or canola oil in baked good recipes. I think the ratio is 3:1 (if a recipe called for 1 Tbsp of oil you would use 3 Tbsp of flaxseed).

Supposedly the flax seed does cause more browning.

I've done this in muffins, etc. and it works fine. I don't know how it would work in "finer" baked goods.

I also sneak ground flaxseed in when I make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. My husband took them to work and never noticed a difference.

I sprinkle flaxseed on my steamed vegetables along with adding some flax oil with them. I hate vegetables but when i use the flax I actually look forward to eating my veggies.

Here's how I use it...

I only call it when I want something; I only go out with it if it’s convenient for me; I borrow its CDs and movies, and rarely give them back. And I always make flaxseed pay for dinner.

I love it on salads and in my cereal - I buy a bag already ground up so occasionally I just take a half spoonful of it and wash it down with water or juice.
