How do YOU treat bad (arthritic) knees?

Okay, I take a glucosamine (plus) supplement and a NSAI, wear knee braces while working out, have started limiting low impact step to 3x a week, and I don't use risers anymore. I think that's about all I can do. Just wondering if any of you do anything different that helps?

Besides doing what you are already doing, I also do strength-training for my legs ... altho the lunges are tough (have arthritis in my big toe joint now too), they do seem to help a lot. My dr. says it's because the movement strengthens the muscles around the knee and help keep it aligned ...
